I normally use regular 2X liquid detergent with my active wear and haven't really observed any improvement from the Prowash. Although the Prowash detergent smells odd, my clothes don't smell bad after they are washed. The fabric softener scent overpowers the detergent scent. The Prowash container was awkward to use since I prefer the hard plastic jugs with measuring cups. The "unit" marks on the Prowash bag (which resembles a goatskin flask) are difficult to use since you are trying to pour out of a bag while looking at the markings.
Overall, my activewear didn't come out significantly cleaner or dirtier when compared with mainstream liquid detergents.

The detergent works great -- I washed a load of sweaty socks and exercise clothes, and it really removed the sweaty odor, leaving the clothes smelling clean and fresh (not reeking of cheap scent, like some other detergents). The packaging, however, is another matter. The flexible plastic container is hard to hold, and the measuring gauge on the side is pretty much useless, because when you hold the package upside down, because of its flexibility, the detergent level moves up and down depending on where and how tightly you hold it, and as soon as you remove the cap, the detergent shoots out, with no way of controlling its speed. Because of this, I plan to rebottle the detergent in a soon-to-be empty Woolite bottle, to make it easier to measure. If this detergent were packaged in a rigid bottle with a spillproof measuring cap, I would have given it 5 stars.
Later, since the product did such a great job on removing sweaty odor, I tried it on some towels and washcloths that had a persistent mildew odor, and it worked on that too -- no mildew smell, even after getting them damp.

This gets my all my clothing (even the non-sports clothes) cleaner than the All Free Clear that I normally use. In the past, All FC was the only detergent I could use without causing an allergic reaction -- even the other detergents meant for sensitive skin would break me out. I'm happy to report that Prowash is the exception. Even after a month of using it, my skin is itch-free.
I also like that this comes in such an eco-friendly container. Unlike ANY of the other detergents out there, it takes up very little space in my garbage.

While this product works very well for washing technical fitness gear, nike dri-fit products and the like, I find it works perfectly for washing dirty sneakers and tennis shoes, canvas shoes, nylon/canvas bags, etc. It doesn't leave an odor and removes stains remarkably well, even without any spot treatments.
This product can easily be repackaged as a shoe and bag detergent :)
Also, I find this product is effective for people who are reactive or slightly allergic to other detergents.

I ordered this product on Dec 28th 2010, the estimated delivery date is Jan 20-26th. . . Seriously.
Now that I look closely the order page says "Usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks.
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com." 1 month to have something delivered? I have never seen anything like this on Amazon, and am a little disappointed.
I could understand if it was custom made with my name on the label. . . and it was manufactured in Mongolia by sherpas, using freshly procured yack milk.
I suppose I have some time to find a replacement product that might be less than 30 days to delivery.
