Product Review: Cloying smell

I think this product is all about marketing to a niche customer. Furthermore, I couldn't get past the annoying, cloying smell. The initial note is pleasant enough, refreshing, but then there is a chemical like note. The product seemed to clean my workout wear fine (as does any other detergent) but this mix of forest and chemical smell actually lasted on the clothing for quite some time, at least through the next workout. I can't really say whether the detergent was gentler on the fabric or had some particular benefit as it was designed for athletic clothing or if it would be beneficial over the long run, but through the use of one 24-ounce pouch, I saw no benefit.
Let's talk about the pouch for a moment. I do like the idea of a more concentrated product, less packaging is no doubt greener for the environment all else being equal. Although the plastic pouch is clearly not biodegradable. But this pouch was hard to control, especially since one is supposed to use so little of the detergent. You measure out the required detergent based on load size, etc. against 'units' ticked off or marked on the side of the pouch. However, tilt the pouch to pour...whoops, there went 3 units... bottomline, smells funny, hard to measure out, unclear whether it treats workout wear any different than any other detergent.

Do you have stinky clothes that normal detergent just won't de-stink-ify? If so, then ProWash is for you. This is some hardcore detergent that works wonders on clothes that tend to have odor cling to them. Whether it be workout gear or perhaps your pig farming overalls, ProWash will get rid of the stink. I can honestly say that I was plesantly suprised out the great work that this soap does. I also really like the container that it comes in. The plastic envelope-type bag is a nice change from the huge plastic containers that usual detergents come in.
I would highly recommend ProWash to anyone who needs to give their clothes a hardcore cleaning. I can't say what this detergent will do to clothes over the long haul(i.e. fading colors, etc.), but as a soap to get rid of tough odors then this totally rapes Tide or any other brand.

I am an avid athlete and gym-goer and needed something to get all of the odor out of my dri-fit gear. I purchased Prowash expecting it to do the job...it didn't. I washed my dri-fit gear a couple times with it, but the odor was still present. However, I found WIN High Performance Sports Detergent to do the trick. Not only did it get all the funk out of my clothes, but it left my clothes smelling nice and fresh. If WIN is good enough for the US Olympic Team, its good enough for me!Product Review: Doesn't get clothes clean

I first washed one load of clothes with this and found it didn't get the clothes clean like other detergents. I looked at the reviews here and, puzzled by so many good ones, decided to give it another shot. So I washed another load -- same result. This doesn't get clothes clean. On top of that, the packaging makes it very, very difficult to measure out the product.
