Product Review: ProWash is Super-Fantastic !!!!!

Purchased ProWash several months ago. Walmart seemed to be the only store to carry the item. Since then, Walmart has ceased to carry ProWash (it figures). I agree with several of the reviewers as far as the cost being a little pricey. HOWEVER....this stuff works!
It gets the stink out.... The trick to keeping the product cost effective is to use it on items for which it was designed. I have used ProWash on workout/performance clothes, bedding sheets, pillow cases,.. moisture wicking socks and underwear. All came out of the wash with the desired results. I figured the best test....the one that would truly define this product.....is the ice hockey equipment test. Anyone who has been near ice hockey equipment knows what I am talking about. I don't care what you do, wash, air out, place outside in the sunshine, etc. it seems you can never get the "STANK", yes STANK, not stink out of your equipment! I proceeded to wash All of my equipment (pants, moisture wicking undergarments, hip pads, shoulder pads and even my gloves. After that was all done, I washed the equipment bag. Voila!!!! ALL THE STANK WAS GONE ! Best of all, ProWash did not add a perfume smell to the equipment.
Any product that can de-stank hockey equipment is a product that truly works. This type of heavy duty washing is where ProWash excels. I'll continue to use the "normal" wash detergents for the "normal" clothes like(jeans, shirts, etc). For my special clothes/gear I will continue to use ProWash.

I gave this product a real work out - I washed my sons hockey stuff. It got everything clean. I found the whole process of measuring with out a cup to pour into or checking if I using too much in this packaging was terrible. It has no smell at all , the clothes smell like nothing when they are done ~ so they are clean - right? I felt that the product was not for a family with mounds of laundry but the a single activewearing person who has the money to use this product.
So in the end if you have a special sports item - give it a try , but for everyday use your favorite brand.

I seem to be alone here in my opinion but I did not like anything about this detergent.
-- It is like water which in itself I guess shouldn't make a difference in the cleaning ability but it's just weird! Probably psychological, but it gives you the impression that someone filled the pack with water and a little food coloring and a splash of dish detergent.
-- Packaging is awkward to handle and pour from; feels like it might collapse and spill out if you're not careful. This is more of an issue because of the water-like consistency of the detergent.
-- The measuring window along the side of the package is useless and time-consuming (pour a little/look, pour a little/look). Better to just measure.
-- I don't care for the scent, although it is not overpowering. Also, I did not notice any difference in the cleaning ability, odors and otherwise, compared to my usual liquid detergent.

This is a great laundry detergent. We have a high efficiency machine and only had to use a very small amount of the detergent to wash a load of laundry. Used as a spot remover it removed chocolate stains from my granddaughter's dress and the clothes came out smelling great. I love that the company is thinking about the environment with the packaging, but it makes the product a little awkward to use. It is difficult to see the right amount to use to wash a load of laundry and when using it as a spot cleaner you have to be VERY careful not to pour too much. The four stars are for the detergent, if I had to rate the packaging I would rate it two stars.Product Review: Prowash Activewear 2X Liquid will allow you to go shopping in your own closet!

It's an old shirt -- one of my favorites -- a very comfortable long-sleeved purple LSU sporty shirt to wear with jeans. Even though I've had it a few years, the fabric still looked good except for the coffee stains on the front coupled with oily stains from spilling bites of crawfish and jambalaya on the front.
"If Pro Wash can take this stain out, I will be surprised," I thought. All the sprays and pre-wash soaks had failed so far. Cynically I followed the directions.
Now my shirt looks as good as new! There will be other shirts brought back into the front of my closet so I can wear them in polite company.
What I don't like: The package instructions recommend measuring by the graduated scale on the side. Doing so would be awkard. There is a measuring alternative: "Reuse the cap of your ordinary detergent." Different detergents have different sizes. I desided to use a tablespoon measure. Two tablespoons = one fluid ounces.
A very useful product highly recommended!
