We use this product daily during the cold season in North Dakota, because the constant presence of forced-air heat reduces moisture in the air. Hence, we run a large humidifier pretty steady from first freeze in the fall through last thaw in the spring. Without these cleaning cartridges in the humidifier water, we would have major buildup of contaminants on the interior surfaces of the humidifier. The cartridges are easy to handle, both when adding to, and removing from, the humidifier water tank. The product is worth the price.
