Product Reviews of Pro Therapy Therapy Wrap - Shoulder

Product Review: good buy
Summary: 5 Stars

Product is great. couldnt ask for any better. some people in the review were saying that its hard to velcro strap around your arm once its on, but i have no issues with it. i never even open that strap, i just slide it on my arm. if You have a shoulder problems and you dont ice it, because its annoying, this is way to go, since i had it, i iced my shoulder twice a day. the only thing i would be concerned about is, if you are large man, it might be little small, but its a guess. i am lean type and fits perfectly

I bought this to help with rehab from shoulder labrum surgery. It has really made a difference. Was trying to use sandwich bags with ice and other much more cumbersome methods -- so ended up not icing as often as would be optimal.... This product is easy to use. I use it after every rehab session and anytime I feel any inflammation. I like that the product uses ice as opposed to gel packs. Very stable once get it on the shoulder. The strap that wraps around the bicep can sometimes be a bit tricky to get in position, particularly if you have filled the bag fairly full with ice - but not a major issue; sometimes I use and sometimes I don't. The first bag I ordered had a slight leak based on a fault in the manufacturing (small hole where the bag is attached to the metal rim around the opening to the bag on which the cap screws) -- I contacted the vendor directly, explained my problem, and the vendor immediately offered to send me a new bag if I returned the faulty one. I highly recommend this product

Product Review: it does what it needs to do
Summary: 4 Stars

I have had multiple shoulder operations over the past 14 years, so I am pretty well experienced when it comes to shoulder ice packs.

The velcro straps are a bit odd on this one compared to my others. The strap going around my arm is too tight, almost to the point where it cuts off circulation, and I have pretty skinny arms compared to most big guys. (I'm 6'4" 210lbs) So if I'm in a stationary position, I just tend to leave that strap off, that also lets the ice bag come down a bit and cover more area over the biceps and biceps tendon. The straps that goes around my back is the tightest, as I pull it all the way to the front and attach it to the other strap. The strap in front just serves as a connection point for the other one, and I let the slack just hang down off my side. I suppose they are the same size if you wanted to switch it over to the other shoulder.

My re-freezable shoulder wraps come down more over arm and biceps muscle, and seem to cover a larger area front to back of the shoulder. However, they take forever to re-freeze, and are not something I can travel with to competitions.

I got the Pro Series wrap mostly for its versatile aspect of being able to travel easily, and just stick ice in it at the hotel or wherever. It does what I need to do, stays on, and won't fall off. But I think I will stick to my re-freezable ones when I am home b/c they are a bit comfier, and cover more area. No idea what brand they are, they were given to me when I came out of surgery.
