Product Reviews of Priva Waterproof Mealtime Protector, Blue TerryProduct Review: GREAT for Seniors Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this product for my eldery mother. She has Alzheimer's and dropping food seems to be one of the things that she has hard a time with. If you've ever taken care of a person with this desase, you know that it's easier to derail a problem than to fix it. I was using dish clothes before finding this. It's GREAT! It's adjustable at the neck and has the length to cover their clothing. This is a blessing for me and my family. There'a sllot more than needs my attention than doing laudry everyday.
Product Review: Good Product Summary: 5 Stars
This is exactly what we needed. It provides crumb/liquid barriers that are perfect. The snap closure works well and laundering has not been a problem.
Product Review: Good idea -- poor design Summary: 2 Stars
This bib looks good in the picture but unfortunately the snaps that hold it in place will be too difficult for many elderly people to manipulate by themselves. An elderly adult with arthritis, tremors, other impaired small motor control, or dementia will likely need assistance to align the small metal snaps so that they close. A better design would have used velcro or some other method of securing the bib around the neck that would allow an impaired person to fasten the bib independently. The design of this product reflects an outdated mindset about adaptive clothing and suggests that the bib was designed for the convenience of the caregiver, not the convenience of the personal wearing it.
Product Review: Great Laundry Saver Summary: 5 Stars
Bought three of these for grandma, and the laundry pile has diminished as they cover so much area and catch pretty much everything. Would highly recommend. Bibs have laundered well so far. No signs of wear or weakness yet after quite a few washings.
Product Review: Great for business professionals! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm a 30 year old male business professional and I eat lunch at my desk often, and I like extra ketchup and lots of condiments. I can't tell you how many times I've ruined a shirt because of spills and messes when I ate. Enter the waterproof protector, it works great! It's heat resistant, thick plastic, big (I'm 5.10" and when I stand up it reaches to the bottom of my pants pockets) and it folds up well to put away when you're not eating. The only complaint I might have it is that the first few times you wear it, your coworkers will crack jokes at your expense, but eventually they get used to it and then you can eat in peace. I've had it for a few months now, and I've taken it home twice to wash in the washing machine, and it came out great afterwards. If you're on the fence about getting this because you have some shreds of dignity left, then all I can say is "Man Up! Buy this bib and save some shirts!" Oh yeah, and be prepared to have some people call you gramps the first time you wear it.
