Truthfully, i didn't receive this product until after the worst sickness was past. With my more mild nausea, the drops did help boost me a little. I liked to use them when i first woke up in the morning and felt sick. i don't know if they are any different than hard candy, but the jolt of sugar to my system helped at times when i hadn't eaten recently. Although i didn't have these when i was the most sick, i do have doubts they would have done much in helping severe sickness...maybe i'm wrong though.
