i don't think anyone should sit in a chair at a desk without back support--it's necessary. for the past fifteen years, i have always used this type of indented cushion back support that adheres to a chair and so far so good. i will continue to do so. i got my first one from a chiropractor, and when that one got a little worn, i bought this one from amazon.com. it's equal and comparable to the one i purchased from the chiropractor's office and cost a little less. you know doctors--they love overcharging:)Product Review: posture perfect-comfy & worth the $ !!

I was kind of weary but once I recvd it I was excited to be using it @ work, since I work about 9 hours a day sitting all day and needed something to help my lower back pain that's just starting to develop after a year of working @ this job. I use it everyday, I bought the batteries for it and gives me a great massage all day long! and definitely has helped me improve my posture while sitting all day and my back pain is almost non-existent! great product and def. worth the $.
