PleezrElite Gel Foam Cushion Pressure sores are described as ulcerations of the skin due to damage caused by prolonged pressure. A number of other factors also contribute to the development of pressure sores including shear, friction and improper positioning. The cushion cover comes with a zipper closure and is made of Recovery 5, which is an antibacterial and antifungal fluid resistant material with a non-skid, slip-resistant vinyl bottom. The PleezrElite Gel Foam Cushion features a memory foam comfort zone targeted directly under the ischial tuberosities. Other features include contoured edges and a low profile pommel. The cushion is available in an 16", 18" & 20" wide by 16" & 18" deep sizes with a cushion thickness of 3 ". Xcelgel Properties Xcelgel was developed for pressure reduction or cushioning, impact and anti-vibration applications. It is a visco elastic polymer. The formula creates a cross-linked soft polymer with a high degree of elasticity. Retains and returns to its original shape after repeated pressure or impact repetitions. Will not dry out.
