I don't know if this is the exact same type as the doctor would have asked me to use, but it seems to do the trick very well. I'll admit that I waited a REALLY long time before purchasing the splint so it's very possible it would have worked better for me if my heel hadn't been so bad. Still, well worth the price and very comfortable. Very adjustable. I'd buy it again if I needed to.
