This product performs as advertised. The sound quality is acceptable and volume more than adequate. I've found that my feather pillow muffles the sound too much, so I just place it inside the pillowcase directly under my ear, it's soft enough that this is comfortable. I bought the Koss volume control with it, makes it much easier to adjust the volume to the right level.Product Review: Good product, good price

After the latest in a long string of earbuds stopped working, I looked for an alternative. This one had the best reviews and I took a chance. It has a heavy duty cord which should last much longer than the ultra-thin earbud wire. Ofcourse it works fine as an under the pillow speaker, but I've found it is more functional and comfortable to wrap it in a small pillow case and use it as a combination eye shade/speaker. The fidelity is better that way, too. The volume range is very good: from so low only I can hear to loud enough to be heard across the room. At the low level the sound is good for both voice and music; at the high level a bit tinny. Also, if something annoying is being broadcast on the radio it's easy to slide the speaker away from the ear slightly till it's over. At first I thought only one speaker was working; pulling the plug out slightly fixed that. I like it.Product Review: Good product, with some reservations.

The first Pillowsonic Stereo Pillow Speakers I ordered malfunctioned within days of receipt. The plug did not work at all with my MacBook Pro computer and only sporadically with my portable video viewer. After about 10 days, the right channel quite working.
The replacement speakers seem to be doing better after the first week. They work with my MacBook Pro and with the video viewer, and so far both channels are functioning as they should.
A useful feature would be an inline volume control.
I will reserve a better score (now three stars, maybe higher in the future) according to how the speakers perform over time.

I listen to a relaxation CD while in bed and have not liked doing so while using headphones. The reason being that they are uncomfortable if one falls asleep while listening. Also, the sound in the rest of the house is blocked out. The Pillowsonic Pillow Speaker is the perfect solution. I have a very thick pillow and I can hear the music very well and the speaking also well with the volume up high. The person in bed next to me can hear nothing. A+ item.
