Product Reviews of Philips Sonicare HX6932/10 FlexCare RS930 Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush

Product Review: Be aware - replacement bulbs not available for sanitizer
Summary: 2 Stars

I've used this product daily for less than a year. I agree that it does a good job of cleaning; however, the UV bulb in the sanitizer did not last the year and I have found that replacement bulbs can only be purchased from Philips by calling them directly (800-370-6369). I had to call their fulfillment center twice (the first time I was disconnected) with an average wait of around 20 minutes.

The replacement bulbs are also not cheap - $17.95 including shipping.

Something to be aware of before you invest in this product.

Product Review: Best One Yet
Summary: 5 Stars

I have used Sonicare for years, ever since the first model. It is clear that this is the best on the market and my dentist will attest to that statement. While all models have done their job better than anything else, this one is the best yet. It is smaller, lighter and quieter while cleaning even better than the previous models. The battery charge lasts twice as long as the previous ones and the sanitizer is a great addition. If you like your teeth and wish to take them to your grave, your best chance is to floss and use a Sonicare every day.

Product Review: Best Sonicare EVER!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Before I start reviewing, I should mention that I bought the Special Edition package from Costco with 2 Sonicare brushes for about $170. With this setup you can have His and Hers, one for mom and dad and one for the kids, one for home the other for work, or even one for home and one for vacationing.

Of course, Sonicare's reputation precedes itself, which is one reason I bought these. However, the main reason I chose this model is because it has a thin handle compared to other electric toothbrushes. This makes it easier for my wife, who has small hands, to use. The other reason I chose this model is the UV sanitizer; have you ever looked at plaque under a microscope? Or threw out a brush head ($$$) after getting sick? Also, the 'Go Care' and 'Max Care' settings are very convenient and take the guesswork out of how long you've been brushing in each area of your mouth. After using it for a month now, I know my teeth are cleaner than when I used to use a regular electric Oral-B.

I recommend the Sonicare Flexcare to anyone who cares about their long-term dental health. The price is reasonable considering the full 2-year warranty. And if you can get the Special Edition with 2 handles, go for it.

Product Review: Best Sonicare Yet
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had several Sonicare toothbrushes over the years. There were minor problems with each of them. But, their effectiveness kept me coming back. The first ones got cracks in them (their support people told me toothpaste with hydrogen peroxide caused them). The more recent models I had (including the one that dispenses toothpaste) collected saliva in the heads and in a cavity in the handle. Bacteria grew in them that made the toothbrush absolutely disgusting! But, I knew Philips had to get that right eventually.

On to the FlexCare Rechargable. The problems of the past have been fixed. My last couple of SonicCare's withstood my toothpaste fine. So, I'm expecting this one will too. The handle has been slimmed down and there is no place to saliva to collect inside the toothbrush. The addition of the UV Sanitizer is quite nice. And, even without the UV, it's great to have a place to stick your brushhead so that it's not sitting out on the bathroom counter all day collecting flying bacteria from the toilet.

There are several brush modes now. I only use one- full power baby! This thing gets your teeth cleaner than you can imagine. I build plaque in a couple of places. Right behind my lower teeth in the front is one. I was due for a cleaning at the dentist about 2-3 weeks after getting the brush. The plaque is smooth normally, so I don't notice. But, a couple of days after getting the brush, it actually took some of the plaque off that the older brush was missing. I was amazed.

This toothbrush is quite expensive. But, if you have the gum problems I potentially could have (because of the plaque build up), it's worth it. I had a dentist keep telling me, I needed to come every 3-4 months for "scaling and planing" and that got to be very expensive. Since getting this Sonicares, my gum checkups have been stellar. I'm on a normal six month rotation and the brush has, in actuality, saved me money.

Peace,
Brian

Product Review: Best Sonicare ever
Summary: 5 Stars

I had the Intelliclen system I was happy with it in till I learned that sonicare no longer made brush heads for it what ever reason which was stupid but whatever I think it was mainly because they wanted people to upgrade.... So I Bought the 900+ flex-care after the first time I'm glad I did... This little handle packs a punch. it has to be the most powerful sonicare Ive ever experienced with all the options as well ? where could I go? Some people say it's noisy I do not see how this is. It is just has loud/quite as any other sonicare So I do not know what they are talking about.. I think they best Option really is the Quad-placer I'm glad they kept that on there. I personally like it and surprised no one else is even talked about it. Plus having the U.V. Sanitizer on board is nice only takes 10mins to run a cycle. the whole unit really don't take up a lot of room if you have a typical sink. though if you have something like a pedestal you might need a shelf or something because it wont fit. It dose come with two brush size's I personally only the bigger one it also come's with a smaller one. I really hope Sonicare plans on keeping this one around longer then 4 years unlike my last one. If you are looking for a Top notch rechargeable toothbrush you would be crazy not to buy this one..
