Product Reviews of Philips Sonicare HX6013/90 ProResults Brush Head Standard, 3-PackProduct Review: Great replacement heads for Sonicare FlexCare Summary: 5 Stars
I got these to replace the head on my "Philips Sonicare FlexCare Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush". They fit perfectly. The bristles seem like they might be a little different shape than the original brush, but it works just fine.
Product Review: Great toothbrush but expensive Summary: 4 Stars
These replacement heads do the job, but it always amazes me how expensive they are. I guess I really have no choice in the matter unless I want to give up my sonicare.
Product Review: Great toothbrush system Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased these refills for the Sonicare System which I purchased at the same time. This is a must have for everyone, young and old. My teeth have never been cleaner and I am sure it is contributing to keeping my teeth and gums heathly. I highly recommend this product.
Product Review: Happy Smile Summary: 5 Stars
These brush heads are specified for my new Sonicare Flexcare RS980 Toothbrush but also work on some other models. This whole combination is a fantastic product for oral hygiene care.
While extra 3-pack standard and compact heads were purchased when buying the Flexcare RS980 Toothbrush, I prefer the standard head. If the standard head (like a regular toothbrush) fits a normal sized, adult mouth, it seems that you're gaining about twice the amount of cleaning action over say a 2 minute period as compared to using a compact brush head that is about half the size. Otherwise, if preferring a compact head and having a normal sized, adult mouth, you may want to compensate for less brushing action by increasing brushing time.
Product Review: Heads are not cheap, but plastic is high quality with metal reinforcement Summary: 5 Stars
If you price power toothbrush heads, sonicare floats to the top everywhere among brands. I've used other brands [cheaper] and found you get what you pay for in cleaning effectiveness. Also in terms of longevity, the philips system heads last longer, on the order of 4 months where some "bargain brand" heads are lucky at 2 months.
Of course all varies with technique. If you are closing your mouth on the brush you are in for a shock on the back side but also smashing the bristles down. I found I was doing this alot until I got the philips system which broke me of that habbit (dentists call it chewing your brush).
I also make it a habit to rinse the brush in Deionized water then place it into the UV sterilizer after use. This seems to remove all contaminates and kill any bacteria.
Size is a matter of preference. The large heads get the job done faster, but if you had your wisdom teeth removed due to space issues, the small head may be needed to get behind your last molar.
Finally, sonicare's plastic appears to be virgin (no regrind added to the mix) which in this day of injection molding is a rare item to find. I sectioned an old brush and looked for signs of regrind additives and could no find one spek in the whole brush-head shaft 45 degree cut using polarized light and a 100x microscope.
Amazon is also offering a good price compared to other sources, so I have to say this is overall a good product at a good price, and if treated properly it could last a year.
