Product Reviews of Philips Sonicare HX3351/02 Xtreme Battery Operated ToothbrushProduct Review: Cost doesn't end with just buying the toothbrush... Summary: 1 Stars
You'll be putting new batteries in this toothbrush every 2 weeks. However, if you don't mind buying stock in batteries, this is a great product.
Product Review: Curb Comments from your Snooty Dentist Summary: 5 Stars
Sick and tired of having to hear "You aren't brushing correctly" or "Your gums are receding" while at the dentist and you can't respond because you have a mouth full of pointy tools and fat dentist fingers? This tooth brush will make those trips a lot easier on the fragile ego and improve your "grill" also. It's not that much cost wise considering all it will do not only for your teeth but your self esteem. Getting the silent treatment from your dental technician and having less work done is well worth the money, friends. Maha bone.
Product Review: DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!! Summary: 1 Stars
i bought one of these, water got into the battery compartment, and the unit stopped working completely, only a week after i bought it. sonicare sent me a new one, and the same thing happened! so they sent me a 3rd one, and guess what? it happened AGAIN.
this is a piece of junk. do yourself a favor: don't buy it!!! (the other sonicare products are fine, by the way).
Product Review: DON'T BUY THIS!!!! Summary: 1 Stars
Dont buy this.
Other Sonicare products are good but this battery operated is not worth your money.
Reasons:
This will stop operating when the water enters to the battery compartment. No matter how you do, the water enters the battery compartment and causing short circuit.
Second, the plastic bottom that closes the battery compartment will break and no longer can be secured.
Just dont buy this.
I dont understand how they could come up with this design.
If the bottom of the battery closure is of spin closure type, then it would be much better.
Product Review: Delecate, But Good Summary: 4 Stars
I used to have a Sonicare a long time ago. You know, the VERY expensive plug-in one. Yes, it worked like a dream (just like they say). My DDS could tell the difference. But having another thing to plug-in in our tiny bathroom was a hassle and after about a year the charger was mucked up beyond control. Most embarrassing! Years went by and new dental problems arose. After going through the joys of a root plaining, I was looking for a new Sonicare. I saw this one and loved that it was battery operated and had a smaller head. I didn't need all the bells and whistles on the other models. Just the auto-timer.
The first one that came died in 2 days. WAHHH! Amazon kicked butt and sent us a replacement right away. We've had the new one for a month now and it's still going strong. I think the first one was just defective.
It does go through batteries pretty quick, so I highly suggest you get re-chargeable batteries. My DDS noticed a difference within the month. It's totally worth it, and a great price! It ends up being cheaper than the disposable electric brushes we were using.
A good family brush for all ages. Easy to use, even for kids.
