Product Reviews of Philips Sonicare FlexCare Rechargeable Sonic ToothbrushProduct Review: Different cleaning speeds + long battery life = great rechargeable toothbrush Summary: 5 Stars
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I owned an electronic toothbrush before this, and loved it, except for two complaints:
1. The bristle action was harsh enough that brushing gums was difficult;
and
2. The battery was short-lived enough that I would have to bring along the charging base for a week-end trip.
This toothbrush remedies both those problems. It has variable speeds that can be used, so that you can clean your teeth on a high setting, and get gums and tongue on a more gentle setting. And more importantly, I charged this baby completely, and then have not set it back on the rechargeable base. Using the full allotted 2 minutes to brush my teeth, and a few extra on the side, so far I have gotten 5 brushes out of the battery--and it's not dead yet!
You'll probably need to bring along the base if you're planning a trip longer than Friday-Saturday-Sunday, but your packing just got that much less complicated!
EDIT: It has now been 10 days since I wrote this review. I use this brush both morning and night, and have not recharged it once. The battery should last for a full week trip. I wish I could give it an extra star for that alone!
Product Review: Do not like the changes to the brush head Summary: 2 Stars
I purchased this toothbrush in December. In less than a month the brush head started coming off each time I used it. I called Phillips for assistance. They were very helpful and said that they would send a new one out and pick up the old one. I said that I would try a new brush head first and would call back if that didn't correct the issue. I did change it out and it worked for about one week before it started coming off again. I have called Phillips and they are sending a new one now.
I have been using Sonicare toothbrushes for about 6 years. I have never had a problem with the tops that have threads. Hopefully this is just a defective brush.
Product Review: Does a great job! Summary: 5 Stars

Not long ago, I asked my dentist about sonic toothbrushes. I half expected him to say that they were just a gimmick, or perhaps were more hype than reality. Instead, without a moment's thought, he said, "I'm a big fan." Then he proceeded to tell me just what a good job a good sonic toothbrush does - a good sonic toothbrush like the Philips Sonicare!
This is a great toothbrush, with three basic modes (clean, sensitive and massage), and two "advanced" modes (Go Care and Max-Care). I like the clean mode, of course, which give my teeth a great clean feeling (you won't believe this until you actually try a sonic toothbrush!), and I like the massage mode which does a great job of massaging my guns (very important for protecting your teeth).
So, if you want to take proper care of your teeth, take your dentist's advice and get a sonic toothbrush. And if you want to get a great sonic toothbrush, then get the Philips Sonicare FlexCare Rechargeable Sonic Toothbrush. My wife and I give it two thumbs up!
Product Review: Does an excellent job! Summary: 5 Stars
This toothbrush does an EXCELLENT job cleaning, and is not uncomfortable to use! Sonic toothbrushes remove plaque so effectively because they basically cause the saliva to flow around the plaque and destroy it. It does cause an initial "tickly" feel, but that is typically gone after one or two sessions. My only issue is that it turns off after two minutes, when I'd much rather just continue brushing. Guarantees better teeth in 28 days.
Product Review: Don't put pressure on teeth Summary: 5 Stars
When I was using the Sonicare in an area in my mouth with deep pockets, I was using too much pressure. I was trying too hard. It was making the area tender. My dentist said that if I continued, my gums would have started to recede and in time the bone would have started to shrink. He said that it was a good product (and I agree) but be careful of the pressure. Just let it set against your teeth and move it along when its time.
The only negative I have is that I can't just turn it on without using one of the timed choices.
