Product Review: Bad Design, Poor Quality

Having used an Elite Model for a few years, we upgraded to the newest Flex. Two problems:
1. the user interface needs a bunch of work. Buttons are placed such that it is difficult for me to complete a brushing sequence without touching one of the speed buttons to slow it down. Big fingers don't work with this model. Do they even test these with users?
2. As recommended, after a few months we bought some new heads. After using the new heads for two weeks, they started falling off the toothbrush every time we try to brush our teeth. Googling the problem shows several thousand hits with apparently a similar problem. One reviewer reported that the company (Philips) said some bad brush heads got manufactured, but I don't think that is the problem, as we've tried multiple heads. I'm not about to spend any more money on buying very expensive brush heads that may or may not be defective.
Try another brand. These are way too expensive anyway.

I have owned the 2 prior models of this brush. Although not all of the updates are great, most of them are. No more obnoxious gunk between the brush head and the handle! The charger is better designed and easier to keep clean. The battery seems to last forever, even when the indicator lights claim there isn't much power left. Most importantly, the brush leaves you with a cleaner and cleaner feeling mouth and than before.
I have no regrets upgrading to this brush from the Sonicare Elite. It is arguably the best consumer dental hygiene product available. I recommend it.

This is the best toothbrush I've ever owned, but I've come from a long line of cheap 15 dollar ones. The 30-second interval is quite helpful to me, to make sure I get every inch of my mouth sparkling clean. And when I say clean, I mean it! This toothbrush has your mouth feeling even better than if you just came from the dentist.
It's also keeping clean very easily, the way the brush head comes off makes sure that no gunk can get inside - which is a good thing because the brush is seemingly sealed shut from prying screwdrivers. The downside to this is that the battery is not replaceable.
