Product Reviews of Philips Sonicare FlexCare Rechargeable Sonic ToothbrushProduct Review: Addicated to my new Sonicare! Summary: 5 Stars
My 8 year old Sonicare toothbrush died 2 weeks ago after a long and happy life, putting me back in the market for a new rechargeable toothbrush. I already knew I wanted a new Sonicare just because I had been so happy with my old one. I purchased a Philips Sonicare FlexCare from Amazon (the best deal I could find in any store!) and I couldn't be happier with it. Had I known how improved this newer model would be, I would have ditched my older Sonicare a long time ago to get this one! The brush head is a lot smaller, the toothbrush is lighter and the rechargeable base is a lot smaller too. Did I mention that clean feeling no other toothbrush can give you? If you don't have a rechargeable toothbrush, you have to get one of these. There's a reason they say Sonicare is the best. It is! You not only won't regret it, but you'll instantly develop an addiction to brushing your teeth. A bit pricey, YES, maybe, but considering the difference that it makes in your mouth, it's worth every penny. Happy brushing!
Product Review: After talking to Customer Service, I'd say stick with the older models Summary: 2 Stars
I loved my original sonicare brush that lasted for so many years that I lost count. This flexcare broke in three months. The new pop on brush head is handy, but full of issues. The metal shaft that you pop the brush head on broke--now the brush just sort of flops around. I called customer service and found out that this is an known issue with this model. They are sending me a new one, but in reading reviews I found that other people are on their third or fourth replacement. I say stick with the older models.

This is the third electric toothbrush I have tried in the last year and this one stands heads and shoulders over the other two. The first I tried was the Ultreo Ultrasound Toothbrush which always felt awkward and replacement heads were expensive and not in my local stores. On the other hand, the Phillips Sonicare just seemed to fit the first time. Perhaps I am more adjusted to the feel of electric toothbrushes, but this one did not feel like I was brushing with a tennis racket. Also, replacement brushes are readily available and reasonably priced.
The second brush I tried was the cheaper Waterpik Sensonic Professional Toothbrush, which I was very happy with it. But a few friends kept raving about their Sonicares so I figured I better try one. The Sonicare probably costs twice what the Waterpik costs but it's worth it. It was kind of like driving a BMW when you are used to driving a PT Cruiser. The Waterpik was good and got the job done, but this brush just had a feel of quality.
This brush also has some great features, like the quick brushing, and although I didn't try it, there was a setting to ease new users into the world of electric toothbrushes. I have to say I'm am not that into the whistles and bells, I just wanted my teeth brushed, and I feel this brush was noticibly better than the other two. It's a well constructed, effective brush and my first recomendation to anyone looking for a brush. If you want a cheaper brush, I was happy with the Waterpik, but I would lean toward spending the extra.
Product Review: Amazing Summary: 5 Stars
Everyone should use a sonicare...it cleans teeth and gums like nothing else. I will never go back to an ordinary toothbrush.

I wouldn't have thought it was possible to say that about a toothbrush, but the fact is it does what it says it will and then some. It's not just that it gets your teeth clean, it's that it gets them so clean you feel almost like you have just left the dentist. My teeth have that same slick, almost polished feel you get from a dental cleaning, and I'm convinced they even look a little whiter.
The different brushing modes were also a pleasant surprise. While they may seem frivilous, the ability to mix and match cleanings with gum massage is surprisingly useful; you may not always want to take the extra time to use the gum massage feature, but if you have sensitive gums you'll find that it does leave them feeling better when you take that extra time. Also, with a battery that lasts for ever, the "Go" mode is great if you want to get in a quick brush at work after lunch.
Offering just the right amount of functionality and providing a great cleaning, this is a product I can recommend without reservation.
