Product Review: Battery CAN be changed on this brush

I read here people throwing them out because battery died.I just bought this brush and already took the handle apart and got to the battery.
There is a small palstic cap opposite the ON switch,kind of rectangular.
Take it out and pull the head of the brush.
The inside of it comes out and you'll see the battery.It is not a normal size,but i'm sure it can be replaced with a little bit of research.

Product Review: Beautiful machine, but tickles mercilessly at first

I'm an engineer, and this may be the most beautiful machine I've ever seen. The handle is permanently, hermetically sealed. The head has what appear to be magnets at the end of some good-sized struts, and apparently the electronics generate an oscillating magnetic field right through the plastic to shake them. But we're not talking wimpy here. I disabled the gradual start feature (they tell you how!) to see what I was getting into, and you've got to do this just right or the tickling of your lips will be unbearable. I think I'm getting the hang of it, and I rather like the brushing action. Anyway, charging is apparently also by transformer action right through the plastic. Just a fabulous design. And the timer function sounds as though it would be infuriating, but it turns out to be useful; just don't take it so seriously. One caution, though: As I recall, when I stopped brushing long ago and got 9 cavities, several were on the chewing surfaces, so best to hit those too.[Months later] The tickling is strictly a temporary problem. It hasn't been happening at all for a long time. This is a very nice product. And were you wondering how it beeps? Well, there's enough of a sounding board in it that the vibration makes sound waves, so some genius figured, hey, just switch to a much higher vibration rate of the main mechanism, and that's a beep. All still hermetically sealed.

I bought this in October for 136 dollars and I feel it has been worth the money thus far. Now to see the same model for 100, anyone who is unsure whether or not it's a good investment, I assure you, you will enjoy brushing your teeth. As others have said, your teeth truely feel like you came from the dentist, and it is very gentle on your gums. My dentist was impressed and I boasted about my sonicare. The hygenist who works with her instantly remarked at how much she loved her sonicare. Someone in another review remarked that you can't brush your tongue with it, but if you really stiffen your tounge out it cleans it completely, much more efficiently than a manual brush or tongue scraper. If you're wondering how it works, an electromagnet in the handle causes two magnets on the end of the brush head to twist the metal shaft in the brush head back and fourth tens of thousands of times per minute. Therefore the sonicare brushes with the grain of your teeth while holding the brush horozontally, unlike any other brush on the market.Product Review: Best I've Used -- Throw out the tooth whitening kits

I've been using a Sonicare toothbrush for 3 years -- and recently upgraded to the Sonicare Elite 7300. The brush head is smaller and more comfortable to use -- and it gets my teeth as white as they can be. No need for whitening strips and other products if you're using the Sonicare, that's for sure. My dentist says my teeth/gums have never been healthier!Product Review: Best Toothbrush Evah!

I have had mine for a year and it still works great. My teeth just don't feel clean unless I use my Sonicare. My teeth are much whiter now too.
