I bought this sonicare toothbrush on the advice of my dental hygeinist.
My teeth and gums never felt better. I can hardly wait for my next dental check up. I'm buying a sonicare toothbrush for everyone in my family.
Product Review: Braun Lost a Toothbrush User

I have used a Braun electric toothbrush since the mid 90s. I needed a replacement due to battery power loss over 5 or 6 years. I saw a special on the Sonicare 4100 in the Golden Box and decided to try it. I am sticking with the Phillips from now on! It works smoother than the Braun with less vibration, so there is less enamel ware. It really did whiten my teeth as they claim! Comfortable to hold and use. Auto shutoff after two minutes. Easy to clean up and keep clean.
Cons:
There is no warning when 15 seconds is up, just the 2 minute shutoff. The Braun gives a 15 second warning. It is probably there in the more expensive models. Although it is still light, it is heaver than the Braun. The replacement heads are much more expensive than the Braun, since they contain gears and are larger.

We bought the kids one of these for each after the cheaper Sonicare Xtreme E3000 Power Toothbrush - Orange failed repeatedly - we actually had Amazon send us replacements.
These are the perfect way to introduce tweens to a toothbrush that's going to keep their teeth happy, clean and healthy for as long as they need to bite and chew things. They've been using them for almost one year now and they work as expected. No breakdowns whatsoever and the price is absolutely right.
If you don't want to spend more money on an Elite, then definitely go for one of these because it's the next best thing.

I love my Sonicare, it really gets my teeth clean and white. They give you 28 days to see results, but I started getting results in 7 days. My dentist was real pleased that I bought this Sonicare. I highly recommend it to anybody, the Sonicare does all the work....
