I have been using these brushes for about five years. They have really made a difference in my gum health. Not sure how to rate them against other electronic toothbrushes.
Product Review: A great toothbrush, but battery is non-replaceable, and battery life too short

I would give this toothbrush a 5 star for its function, but I can only give it a 3 star given the short usable life.
This toothbrush worked great for 2.5 years, then the battery started dying. Since the battery is non-replaceable, the whole thing has to be thrown away. This is a major disappointment to me considering how much it would cost to replace the battery, and how much it costs to buy a new toothbrush.
I did follow all precautions for taking care of the NiCd battery by draining all charges before recharging which is normally once a week.
I would either unwillingly buy a new one or find a competing product whith replaceable batteries.

Having bought this for my husband & myself around Christmas, I think everybody with teeth should use this to clean their teeth. I bought another to give to my Mom for her birthday. She LOVES it! Both of us say it's like going to have your teeth cleaned by the Hygenist, without the trouble. I wish I'd had one years ago.Worth every penny!Product Review: A must-have for better oral hygiene!

The sonicare toothbrush that I bought works exactly like the advertising says it does. It is easy to use, easy to take care of, and best of all it really does help keep your mouth cleaner. I noticed results right away and it helped get rid of my dental problems like sore, bleeding gums (gingivitis). I've always had a hard time brushing my teeth long enough and with the right amount of pressure (so as to not affect the enamel and gums). The Sonicare is the answer to my dreams!!
I LOVE brushing my teeth with this thing. A little beep goes off every 30 seconds so I know when to change positions. And even though it's recommended that one brush one's teeth for the full 2 minute cycle, I frequently end up brushing for 4 or more minutes since it feels so good and it makes my teeth and mouth feel refreshingly clean. Honestly, can you think of the last time you brushed your teeth with a regular toothbrush for 2 minutes at one time?
Admittedly, the initial investment is a bit steep. Yet I'm convinced it's worth the expense. The brushes last about 6 months and cost about $25 for 2 replacements. I still consider this to be a fairly small investment for my dental future. This is a great brush. Try it with confidence!
