Product Review: Adequate Trimmer, Vacuum

This is an adequate trimmer. I bought it to replace a previous Norelco trimmer that I had for years. The vacuum is not strong enough to prevent lots of hairs everywhere, but post-trim cleanup is much faster now. Not any louder than my previous trimmer, even on "turbo", which I always have on. On the non-Turbo setting, the trim quality is noticeably degraded. On Turbo the trim is pretty good. The comb does not allow good mustache trimming. Overall this trimmer is pretty good, but is not the all-in-one trimmer that I was looking for. I would try a different product if I had it to do all over again.Product Review: After 5+ years

After 6 plus years it was time to replace my old Wahl. I loved it, easy to cut the line and easy to switch the blade for a close up trim. My wife loved the vacum feature since it kept the sink a little cleaner. Over the years it just lost power and suction. Couldn't find another Wahl with the vacum feature. This one is OK with good power and suction but awkward to use. Difficult to switch razer heads and the design makes it hard to see to cut a line. I have trimmed my beard a number of times since 1975 and this one is just OK. If not for the great vacum not much better then the $19.99 trimer at CVS.Product Review: All that was advertised

The Philips Norelco T980 Turbo Vacuum Trimmer allowed me to achieve and maintain the beard length I was seeking more precisely and efficiently than any other trimmer I have owned. (My wife especially likes the job it does.) The vacuum function works well and makes clean-up a ten-second job. The battery provides a couple week's worth of uses before it needs recharging, which takes a bit over an hour. The somewhat bulky size to accommodate the vacuum unit requires an initial adjustment if you're used to smaller units. The nine-position trimming guard allows you to work down to the length you want and prevents accidental mess-ups. This tool gets my most enthusiastic endorsement.Product Review: Almost as Good as Expected

The Norelco Turbo Trimmer is great. My only problem is that when I try to trim my stash straight along my lip a little piece of plastic associated with the vacuum mechanism gets in the way. Otherwise it does a great job.Product Review: Almost as good as they said.

Not much to complain about, really. Reviews were mostly positive and I agree. The one thing I will say is the vacuum is not quite as good as reviews said.
I was led to believe 90% of the hair would be collected and not end up all over the place, but it is more like 60% of the hair is captured, and quite a bit still ends up all over the sink. Other than that, fantastic.
