Product Reviews of Philips Norelco T980 Turbo Vacuum TrimmerProduct Review: Good Trimmer. Summary: 4 StarsMy husband likes this trimmer much better than the older model he had. The vacuum isn't perfect, so some of the trimmings still get in and around the sink. He loves that it has a battery indicator so he knows when it needs to be charged. The old one stayed plugged up all the time because he didn't want it it be dead when he needed to use it. This one is much better because it has a light that comes on when the battery is low. So far, he hasn't had to charge it much.
Product Review: the T980 does not disappoint... Summary: 5 StarsWatch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R200U4HZR5AEEV I only review products that I use, enjoy, and want to advocate for; the T980 is one of these. It's got a great design, from the curve of the device body, to the ease and access of the On/Off controls, and swap-able blade heads. Its height-adjustable, spring-loaded trimmer guide is the best yet.
Product Review: Resonable trimmer, disappointing quality Summary: 2 StarsI found this to be a pretty decent trimmer. It, well, trims. Adjustments work, the vacuum option does a reasonably good job, and clean up is easy.
The detail tool is pretty darn small, not very practical for neck line cleanup.
My biggest problem is that the vacuum hair container broke after about 10 uses (the plastic shell snapped off the clip-in part of the container). Very disappointing.
Product Review: Very Smooth Summary: 5 StarsThe T980 is well-balanced and easy to use. Some stray clippings "escape" even in turbo mode, but the vacuum captures enough to make it an easy cleanup.
Product Review: Epic Fail Summary: 1 StarsOne of the worst products I've every purchased. Poor design clogs easily and requires frequent and messy cleanings to keep in operation. Even then, it takes forever to cut anything. My older Braun still does a better job (after 8 years!) than this does after one. Don't be seduced by the specs an neat-looking design. Where it counts, this fails completely.
