I had a Norelco T780 Vacuum Trimmer before this one that I returned to Norelco under warranty because of a defective battery issue.Kept maybe a 10min charge. Noreclo sent this one as a replacement.It is a nicer model. As far as trimming goes, does a fine job.I'm not a huge fan of the AccuControl System with flexing guide comb.Wish it were just a simple non flexing comb.I used to get a more precise shave from my oldest original trimmer especially near my moustache.To the nitty gritty. If you trim very very slowly, the vacuum feature does a pretty nice job of picking up probably 80-90% of the trimmed hair.If you work in real time, it's performance is sub par.If you use the turbo feature, it is still not that effective. You will get hair on your counter and freak out the wife if you haven't wiped them all away..This trimmer is probably one of the best out there though..Product Review: 4 1/2 stars

It's a pretty good trimmer but I like my old one better that broke after 10 years of good use. Unfortunately they do not make the Maverick anymore, so I brought this one as the closest thing. I like the vacuum and turbo function. Also the carrying case is convinent. Over all I would highly recommend it.Product Review: A Good Trimmer

This trimmer works so much better than the others I have owned. Especially like the vacuum feature and I think my wife likes it even better! Did find the depth control a bit awkward at first but gets easier everytime I use it.
I would give it a 4.5 out of 5.

This trimmer is a vast improvement over its predecessor from Norelco, a similar design that I owned for five years. The battery is stronger, the motor and switch are improved, and the parts fit better. The trim setting zoom works fine. Only an inordinate amount of pressure would make it shift settings. The attachment is useful for stray hairs in the nose and ears and for edging a moustache. Unlike the previous model this comes with a compact case where the charger (smaller and lighter than before and now rated 110- 240V) and attachment can be kept.
