Product Reviews of Philips Norelco G370 All-in-1 Grooming SystemProduct Review: Does the trick. Summary: 3 Stars
Purchased approx 6 months ago. I use to shave beard and head. The unit works well and isn't loud.
My only (major) gripe is the adjustable head is very difficult to adjust without taking the whole head piece off.
Other than that a great value.
Product Review: Don't buy Summary: 3 Stars
Thing is loud as a F-22 fighter flying over your house. It will last you a long time, but than again you better wear ear plugs when using it.
Product Review: Durability Matters Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this shave for over a year and am very pleased with the precision and feel of this trimmer. So much so that I have given up shaving and have just been trimming for i have no more razor burn.
Note: I have not used this unit for beard trimming, just other hair.
Pros:
-- Durable, I have dropped the unit on the hard floor twice and instead of breaking, the unit just disassempled itself, absorbing the impact. Great engineering.
-- Looks slick, even though it is plastic, Stays nice and shiny.
-- Easy cleaning, just open it up and clean the hair out.
-- Great precision. This unit has 9 different cutting lenght when an attachment it on it. I use it for touch ups all over the place.
Cons:
-- Can't use the shaver with it plugged in. Only on charged battery.
-- Made of plastic.
Overall I love this trimmer. It looks good and performs even better. Solid trimmer that will be durable and last you some time. A great product to trimming, or use instead of shaving for that rugged look.
Product Review: Exactly what I need and expected Summary: 5 Stars
I have used this grooming set for several months. A quick idea of my usage; on Sundays, I use it for grooming nose, ears, mustache and 'soul patch', trimming sideburns and neckline. I do not use it for 'haircuts'. Using it in this manner, I find it to be ideal and it is a great value. If you are 'ham-handed' you may find it 'fiddly/delicate' as it certainly is not built like a 50s era Kirby vacuum cleaner. Also, I find I can use it twice easily before recharging it. The nose hair trimmer will require 30-40 seconds per nostril I think as you need to turn, and change angles a lot to be thorough. And changing attachments will occasionally require me to flip the switch on for half a second to re-align the clutch mechanism. If you feel any resistance snapping on a different head - try hitting the switch. Now, are there any negatives? Yeah, but for my usage they are minor. For some folks they could be a problem. Mine came with a travel pouch. I don't see how the various attachments could avoid damaging themselves rattling around in a pouch together. I'd place them in individual sandwich bags or wrap them in tissue if they had to travel in such a way they might bang/press into each other. I doubt I will ever travel with any part of this set though. Also, it's slightly annoying having to rotate the heads to align them into the stand's receptacle/'wells'. They should have made the stand in such a way the parts could be dropped in without worrying about 'polarity'.
