They missed the mark on this one. It tends to dig in no matter which way you go. You have to hold it almost perfectly flat. If you do that, it will shave fairly close but my opinion is that the Braun is a much better device.Product Review: Alright at Best

The Bodygroom is alright at best. I bought it mainly because of the flashy advertising (claiming its the bee's knee's when it comes to shaving down under ... it's not), and the good reviews that it got on this site. I think I'll be the first 'educated' bad review, being that the other bad reviews came from people who generally did not follow the directions, tried to use it to shave their face, etc. The basics are this: if you're already shaved and you want to use it to maintain, then it 'can' be a useful tool BUT it is not good for the 'tricky' groin areas, which is basically the only reason that I bought the thing. The advertising claims, or would lead you to believe, that it is designed specifically for those areas when in truth a Bick razor is much less time consuming and much more efficient, and probably ~gasp~ less hazerdous as the Bodygroom will pinch you (note, not cut ... just pinch and scare the bejeezes out of you) if the skin is not held taught. Additionally, the trimming function of the Bodygroom is virtually useless ... it will take you 5-10 passes with this thing to effectively trim an area, and you have to go SLOOOOOOWWWWWWW with it during those passes. Although I will say that the ability to push or pull is nice with the trimmer, and that the rounded gaurds for the trimmer are ergonomically nice for some of the harder to reach areas. Some advise for potential users ... I have found that with either trimming and especially shaving that the thing works best in the shower when you are lathered up with soap (which the manual says you can do)to let the thing slide. Also a plus is that it doesn't give as much irritation as a manual razor, which is a definately a plus, because I hate getting shaving bumps. Overall, I would only recommend it if you aren't to hairy downstairs and don't really have to trim any of the tricky areas.Product Review: Amaizing buy

This shaver is amazing. I never thought an electric razor would work so well on the body. Seriously.
I had previously used a disposible razor for body shaving. Problems with that are, it can sometimes lead to irritation and I never felt completely safe shaving.. certain areas below, and certain areas behind.
This razor I have not had any irritation with. Litterally. No bumps. No red spots. It's awesome.
AND I have not so much as knicked or pinched any skin or anything, and definitely no cuts or anything. No fear of that happening.
However.. the shave is not quite as close as an actual disposable razor got. There's still a little stubble on my chest and arm pits. But, it's acceptable. That's a good trade off for not having bumps or anything.
My only other minor complaint is that the guard clips, like other reviews have said, are really hard to get off once you clip them on. This is a really minor problem because I only ever clip one of them on to trim up the one area every few weeks. Everything else I use the regular foil with out the guards, so it's really not a problem. And I'd rather it be too stuck on there then falling off.
Overall.. I definitely recomend. I know there is a newer version out, but I love this one so I can't even recomend paying more for the other. If you shave or trim your body hair (which every man should), you should get this razor.

This is the best shaver for body grooming period.Just go slow especially the first time around and be amazed. No nicks so far and I have used this in the nether regions of my body. 5 stars!!!!
