Product Review: A really good tool!

I've been using the BodyGroomer for several months now and I just started using the ManGroomer. Here's my review of both:
Construction:
The BodyGroomer feels like a well-made shaver and has a well thought-out design. It's submergible and rechargeable and has a removable blade. Cleaning the BodyGroomer is easy because it can be rinsed directly under water. The recharge circuit isn't automatic and Philips recommends removing it from it's cradle after recharging (not a realistic expectation). The BodyGroomer uses an interesting "combination" blade with a trimmer on each side of a foil shaver.
The ManGroomer doesn't feel like it's nearly as well made, but it's sturdy enough to do the job well. It uses two AA batteries that are easy to replace. The ManGroomer is not submergible.The head is similar to a sideburn trimmer and the blade is not removable.
Operation:
The ManGroomer is a "one-trick pony" and it does it's job well, allowing you to shave your entire back yourself. The blade isn't comfortable on the skin, especially on the sides of the back. It's most effectively used in a back and forth motion. The shave wasn't especially close. Cleaning the ManGroomer isn't easy as it's non-submergible, so think damp sponge, towel and blade brush (not included).
The BodyGroomer is much more comfortable on the skin with it's "combination blade" giving a closer and smoother shave. It's also best used in a back and forth motion. Cleaning the BodyGroomer is easy - pop-out the blade and rinse both under water.
Comparison:
Shaving my back with the ManGroomer took less than half the time than trying to use the BodyGroomer and didn't cause muscle cramps trying to get to all the tough areas but it wasn't comfortable on the skin. The BodyGroomer is much easier on the skin, and because of that it can take a little longer to shave but the results are worth it. The BodyGroomer is comfortable to use on your chest and private parts, something that I'd never try with the ManGroomer - it's just too rough. The reality is that if you're shaving yourself, you'll need both tools to do a thorough job. If you've got help, the BodyGroomer is a terrific tool in your hand or someone else's.
Product Review: A regular shaver that will cut you in the places its says it won't

When I took this product out of the box I examined it, curious to what design differences set it apart from other electric shavers such that it wouldn't nick and cut one in the sensitive areas it is advertised for. I couldn't discern any and after using it, and being cut twice (I stopped after the second time), I can tell you there are none. Its just an electric shaver. Nothing special or noteworthy other than the advertising. Philips Norelco ought to be the subject of a class action suit for false advertising and personal injury.Product Review: A struggle to use......and a waste of money

I bought this as an easier alternative to methods I had been using. It turned out to be a total waste. I threw it away. It had only one redeeming quality which is the fact it can be used in the shower. The cutting blade on both sides of the shaver is a struggle to get it to cut anything and when it does it clogs very quickly. The razor part is also difficult and ridiculous.
You are much better off to use a standard hair trimmer (like for cutting the hair on your head) for the big jobs and a safty razor for the close jobs. This shaver is just a gimmic. Another tip, I recently figured out that shaving my skin on my back and arms with a safty razor is easier when done completly dry.......who knew!
Product Review: A waste of time and money

I have owned two of these clippers / groomers - and I have to say - that they are a sheer waste of money and time -esp. if you have a decent amount of body hair. They don't really cut hair - there is more pulling than cutting. And it takes for ever to shave my chest hair - i have go over the same spot over 10 times to get a clean cut. Shaving my chest with this useless device takes upto 1/2 hour or more and a lot of redness and pain. Definitely not worth it.Product Review: AWESOME PRODUCT!!!!

Just got the Shaver Groom in the mail for a friend of mine, Its his 27th birthday...He LOVES it!!! He used it "Down There" today and said it didnt cut him, it was SUPER fast! and there was no itching feeling. He loves the shaver! "I cant believe how fast it was, cut shaving time & clean up time dramatically!" he said..My friend shaved his under arms & public area today with it for the first time....He said "Every guy should have one! I cant wait till my next shower to shave again, he says....If smooth is what you like, then the body groom is for you! Any negative comments about the product means the people didnt read the instuction manual that comes along with the product...Added plus is that the shaver gets rid of dead skin that grows out when pubic hair grows out and Soft skin & No hair "Down There" is all that is left..."I feel like Im 10 years old again!" 10+++++ Product!"....Thanks for giving my friend a great birthday present!!! You guys are awesome!!!!
