Product Review: Had to switch to electric...

I had to switch to an electric razor due to irritation caused by using a blade. I wasn't thrilled about it, knowing that an electric will NEVER give as close a shave as a blade. This did indeed prove to be true, however, I will give this razor more credit than I thought I would. It is extremely lightweight and quiet. Cleaning it couldn't be simpler, simply rinse under hot water. Charging and simple maintenance are both as easy as cleaning it. As others have said, it will give a good, close shave on the cheeks and other broad flat areas. On the neck, especially under the chin/between the Adam's apple area and either side, it is lacking. I go in different directions, and gently pull the skin, etc. and still I can't it as close as I want. That said, however, it is convenient to shave with an electric. The manufacturer claims that the shaving head should be changed once a year. Since the hair on my face is closer to the wire bristles you'd find on a wheel mounted to a grinder instead of hair on a person's face, I figure changing them twice a year will be a better idea for myself. All in all I'm satisfied with this item, and the price I paid for it. I live in a nursing home and bought this electric tripple header because my caregiver took my thirty-year old tripple header that still worked great when he quit taking care of me. A nurse's aid broke my new tripple header after she dropped it many times while cleaning the head over a waste basket. The manager wouldn't replace it since it was a little over two years old. I told him it worked fine and would have lasted many years before it broke when dropped. Now I have extra parts if they break this one and I love the great shave I get. I'd recomend this shaver to anyone wanting a great shave for many years.Product Review: Not Good

I have purchased a 8151XL which looks identical to the above 8140XL and I am not sure what the difference is. After using my Norelco Quadra for about 8 years and having absolutely no issues to with it I thought to myself, why don't I try a new razor. Since Quadra never gave me the close shave, I thought I experiment and see how technology has evolved over the years. I purchased the best: The Arcitec. What a disaster it was. It gave me terrible irritation, cut the hair very slowly and refused to pick up some. My face would not adjust to it. I struggled with it for a month and returned it to Norelco who hopefully will refund my money. Since I no longer had my old Quadra Action, I decided to give Norelco another try and purchased the 8151XL. I only shaved with it once, however, it was the best shave in my life. It picked up all uneasy hairs without struggle and I never expected the closeness it gave me. I love it and actually look forward to my next shave. I strongly recommend purchasing any shaver from this line up.
