As a wet shaving refugee I didn't know what to expect; I was just tired of getting cuts everyday, and paying an exhuberant tax to the wet shaver companies; I didn't want to buy a top of the line model in case things didn't work out.
This has been a very pleasant surprise, as I'm getting close shaves with less fuss and no irritation; I beginning to get the hang of this and even the neck area is doing well.
The battery's first run lasted for 4 days, but I may be taking a lot longer than normal while I learn. The battery light starts blinking when it's fuly charged, by the way.
I have the Philips branded verion of this and it still says Made in Holland...

It's so quiet that at first it seemed like it must need charging but my first shave with it was as good as any from my previous electric razors. This one replaced a 3 year old Remington triple head that's battery would no longer take a charge. The Remington was on it's third set of heads and probably due for another set. None of it's previous heads had become dull, they just locked up and quit moving. I selected this unit for it's easy cleaning (the easiest cleaning I've ever had) and it's corded capability. Instead of ruining it's battery by constant recharging, I charge it, get about twenty shaves before it quits, plug it in to finish the shave, recharge it for another 20 shaves. This shaver is the perfect one for shaving my HEAD!!!! It is very comfortable and works good in any direction. I shave my entire head every day and the battery lasts for 8 days usage. I may buy another for travel.
