Product Reviews of Philips Norelco 7110 Cordless Rechargeable ShaverProduct Review: Good shaver for the price, but not overall...read on Summary: 3 Stars
I have been using various shaving systems and decided to try this philips norelco system. I have tried remington in the past (gave a good shave but a little too close as my skin was always irritated after the shave), I have a braun syncro (love the system, upgraded it a few years after the first syncro since I loved it so much. The only problem with the braun is that the hair particles get all over your bathroom as you shave. There is no collection system).
This made me want to try another system that could be washed with running water and would collect the hair clippings. The philips norelco 7110X does this and its great for the bathroom but its shave is not on par with the Braun Syncro.
Couple of things to consider...the Braun was almost 4 times more expensive. It gave a better shave but also needed more attention with cleaning the shaver, the bathroom, etc.
Hope it helps someone out there make their decision

Product Review: Good shaver, great price. Summary: 4 Stars
At first we thought it had to be garbage because it was so light weight. When we turned it on, you could barely hear the motor. It sounded like it would never cut very good. Once my husband used it, we couldn't believe how close of a shave. It really holds a charge great too. Considering the cost, great little shaver. Doesn't replace those $150. ones, but comes close when you factor into it the cost.
Product Review: Good value model Summary: 5 Stars
The heads on my old Norelco 5801XL had worn out. I was almost at the point of scraping my stubble off, so obviously it was time to replace them. The trouble was they were getting almost impossible to find locally. All part of forced obsolescence I guess. I don't like buying new models unless there is a need. I figured in this case that there was a justification and bought this model since it wasn't much more than the cost of a replacement head anyway. I have to say that I was surprised that this was actually quieter than my older Norelco considering it's one of their lower end models. I would've liked a model that had a proper 'battery full' charging light and corded operation but you have to buy one of their higher models in this range to get that. I don't see the point in paying double for a model that will give you the same shave, as apart from extra features, it would've had the same shaving head so I can live with it's minor limitations. All in all I consider this a great buy. Oh, and it gives me a great shave too!
Update: I have to say that after a using this for a while, I find the charge doesn't seem to last anywhere as long as my other Norelco which is in agreement with some other reviews on amazon. The red light seems to come on too soon. I actually let it run down after the red light came on to see how long it would take and it stopped after 31 minutes which means you still have a few shaves left once the light turns on so the light is fairly conservative. That seems to be the only downside so far though.

I think this razor is great and am totally amazed at the fact that you can rinse it clean under a water faucet..I just wish it didn't take 8 hours to charge..

This shaver fits comfortably in your hand. Very nice to use. Very close shaves and quiet running. I'm very impressed with this unit and would not hesitate to recommend it to you.
