I have a very hard beard and can only shave twice a week with a Gillette Nitro to get a close shave since I have to let my beard grow a bit till I can shave. I tried this product based on the reviews I saw and this is an excellent shaver. I tried it on the day my beard would be impossible to shave closer with a gillette and I got a wonderful smooth and close shave.Product Review: Excellent buy

If you don't really need a shaver with a battery, this is a great buy. It's very light, extremely quiet, easy to clean, and gives a nice close shave. I've used Norelco shavers for over 40 years and this is my all-time favorite.Product Review: FALSE ADVERTISING

I ordered the Norelco 6423LC Corded Reflex Action Shaver, a "special series" order and instead was sent a standard 6900 Series. Could have bought what they sent for 50% less.
This merchant didn't even have the courtesy to ask if I would accept a substitute. When I called I was told "too bad" - "take it or leave it"!
Now they are arguing about taking it back. I have to now dispute the charge through my credit card. They are SWINDLERS! AMAZON WAS NO HELP EITHER! I did not want ot give any stars as a reviewer but it makes you put a least one!

After using Remington Microscreen shavers for many years, I tried a Norelco 6423LC Reflux Plus Corded Men's Shaving System and found it very satisfactory. It takes a little practice to get used to but now I get a good close shave, including under my nose. I am very happy with it. This is a great electric shaver for light-duty shaves. If you don't feel like putting in the time for a blade-shave, this shaver is a good alternative. I use it on weekends. When you first turn it on, it sounds "weak" and the perception is "where's the power?" But, it functions very well and is easy to clean. Overall, a good value for the price.
