I've been using Norelco shavers for years. This basic model gives me as good a shave as any of them (and certainly a better one than other brands that I've used). Some people might mistake the quiet running motor for a slow running one, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I've been getting fast, close, comfortable shaves without worringing that a rechargeable battery will run out or eventually lose its ability to hold a charge. Considering how high the price of razor blades has gotten this is a genuine bargain.Product Review: A good Electric Shaver

This is a very good shaver for the money. I have used battery shavers for years, but the non battery shaver gives you a quicker shaave since a plug in shaver has a better and faster motor, than a battery shaver. The motor is very quiet, and I was very surprised.
I think that you should consider buying this shaver that is a really good buy.

When I pulled this out of the packaging I first thought that it was a bit cheesey. Very light and plasticy. "No way this thing was going to give me a good shave!" I tried it anyway. Very light and nice feel. This is a closer shave than my original battery version but I was looking for replacment blades for that anyway. I've been using this Norelco 6423 Reflex Plus corded electric razor for about 2 1/2 weeks now, and so far, I'm glad I decided to buy it.
My old Panasonic rechargeable razor didn't seem to be holding a charge for very long anymore, plus it was time to replace the foil and cutting heads again. For about the same amount I would have spent to replace the worn parts on my old razor (not even including the cost of replacing the battery), I got a brand new Norelco razor!
The first thing I noticed about the Norelco is that it's MUCH quieter than my old Panasonic. My Panasonic sounded like a Dustbuster when it was on. Another plus to the Norelco is that it does a much better job of shaving underneath my jaw line and on my neck. I have not had any problem with the cord coming out of the razor while shaving. It fits in there nice and snug. I also have had no problem with the razor grabbing my skin. Just make sure you don't press down too hard on your skin while shaving, and use your free hand to pull your skin tight while shaving your neck, as suggested in the accompanying booklet.
If you don't need a fancy, expensive razor that cleans itself or is rechargeable, give this one a try.
