Product Review: Helped in a pinch
Summary: 3 Stars

I have small feet, but they can expand in humid conditions; therefore, I purchase some shoes and sandals 1/2 larger than my regular size. One pair of sandals were a little too large, and I slid past the front of the shoe. I put a pair of these pads around the toe thong, and I was able to walk comfortably. Plus, I could be on my feet longer, since they absorbed a lot of pressure. My only complaint is that the thong piece is a little bulky and I can feel it all the time. Also, after only wearing the sandals 4-6 times, the piece is tearing at the base. They helped when I needed them, so I will say I am generally thankful for their existence!

Product Review: Not so great
Summary: 2 Stars

A bit disappointed. I have sandals that hurt the inside of my Big toe / next toe. Thought this would help. The padding is actually too BIG and hurt my feet more than the original shoe. Guess I should have used tape instead.

Product Review: Spreads the toes a bit
Summary: 3 Stars

It works like it says it does - it keeps the thong part of your shoe from creating sore spots between your toes. Sadly, though, the gel is kinda thick and it spreads your toes a bit wide and I found that they ached by the end of the day.I think it's something a person can get used to, but for me I will only wear the shoes occasionally instead of all the time. BUT...I can at least now wear the shoes whereas before it was too painful.

Product Review: Very good, not excellent
Summary: 4 Stars

Really cushy pads. They let me walk much farther than I would be able to without them. But after a few months of hard wear, they've torn apart. Good product, just not very hardy. I'll need to buy another pair.

Product Review: flip-flop fixers
Summary: 4 Stars

It's summer, and flip flops are afoot.

Followed shortly thereafter by sore soles and aching arches.

These pads don't fix everything wrong with wearing flip-flops as streetwear (something that makes podiatrists cringe). But they do help considerably with the lack of padding under the metatarsal, and the flat footbed. I have an overpronation bad enough to require orthotics in my lace-up shoes, and without these, wearing flip-flops, even for the beach, would be impossible.

The design of the pads is quite straightforward - a met-pad and an open tube that goes over the center post of the sandal strap. The silicone is very dense, and sticky enough to stay in place (it will stick better over use). Don't be afraid to do a bit of readjusting to find exactly the right spot. On my flip-flops (a hard-soled japanese style) I had to do some razor-blade surgery to taper down the top of the tube, since it only came halfway up the post, and the edge was annoying. This probably wouldn't be an issue with the flip-flop styles where the straps were more closely attached to the base.

Slight re-engineering notwithstanding, these are highly recommended to anybody who, like me, would prefer to ignore their podiatrist's summer warnings.
