Love, love, love this monitor. Loved it so much I've bought two of these in the last 6 month, one for my Mom and one for myself. Got this when my father had a multitude of health issues and required periodic blood pressure monitoring. This device has been great becuase it is reasonably fast but accurate. I tried to calibrate it with the readings from the doctor's office but was also told that those readings tend to be higher (probably from the stress of being at a doctor's office). The main thing was that it reliably measured any changes that might happen. Hint: found that if you use just batteries, it is important to replace periodically since the readings are not as good with weak batteries; another solution is to consistently use the included AC-adapter.Product Review: For me, it's been giving accurate, consistent readings

The biggest issue with any automatic, portable, home-based blood pressure monitor is getting consistent, accurate readings. For me, this Panasonic model has worked quite well. It's very easy to use, and I've gotten reliable readings with it.
Accuracy: I tested it against the doctor's readings last week, and it gave very close to the same numbers.
Consistency: Four times out of five, I get consistent readings that make sense. About one morning out of five I get numbers that make no sense -- I don't know why.
Given the low price of this product, I've been very pleased. It's super easy to use, provides accurate readings (i.e., same as my doctor), and is more consistent than any other home monitor I've tried. (For comparison, I've had no luck getting accurate, consistent readings with cuff-style monitors, even highly rated ones.)

The Panasonic Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is a good product. It is very easy to use and the big numbers on the LCD display screen is plus. Now in terms of accuracy-which is the reason why you would buy this product-it is good but not great. I suggest that you use it several times each time writing down the results on a piece of paper and then compare the results. The results will be close but will still be off. It won't be identical.
This does not make this product a bad product. I think in fact it is a good life saving product but you should use it several times and then compare the results before determining what the final result is. To be fair, almost all digital blood pressure machines ARE NOT 100% accurate; however, the better made ones are more accurate than the cheaper ones. I consider this blood pressure machine made by Panasonic to be one of the best digital machines on the market and I highly recommend it.
I highly recommend that everyone should have a blood pressure machine especially this one because IT CAN POTENTIALLY SAVE YOUR LIFE OR THE LIFE OF A LOVED ONE. High blood pressure is called the "Silent Killer" and this is very true. So many people die annually in the USA from high blood pressure.
Don't take any chances and get this machine. It is a great investment. Your life might depend on it!

So nice not to have to wrap the velcro band around my arm to take my BP. This machine is compact and accurate. You do have to have some space for your arm on the other side of the spot where you insert your arm. All in all, I'm pleased with it.
