Product Reviews of Panasonic EW3109W Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor (White)Product Review: 2 big thumbs up Summary: 5 Stars
Super-duper easy to use, even for the completely untrained person. Big buttons & number read outs. Simple. Easier than a digital watch! Seems to be quite accurate. I've checked it against doctor's office blood pressure cuffs and have gotten the same blood pressure results.
Product Review: A good blood pressure cuff Summary: 5 Stars
This unit is compact, very fast, and simple to use. It measures as it is inflating unlike just about any other device and that saves a lot of time. It is also accurate and consistent. If you have had challenges with devices produced by Omron this is your solution!
Product Review: Accurate, reliable, economic, slick design, easy to handle Summary: 5 Stars
We all know by experience that automatic blood pressure monitor is not to be trusted. After reading many reviews, I've decided to try another automatic one, and I am glad I stumbled on this Panasonic monitor. I've been using this one for about 3 months. My wife is an RN. Her measurements on a manual blood pressure monitor matched very closely every time to the numbers off this Panasonic monitor. Slick, portable, priced reasonably, repeatability is excellent. What is unique about this one is that the measurement starts while the cuff is being inflated, not deflated as most other monitors do. It displays diastolic first and systolic later, then deflates. I am going to purchase one more for my mother.
Product Review: Amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
I was all set to by a no-name cheapie but found this Panasonic for LESS than the bargain brands. Well-made (up to Panasonic standards), easy to use and very accurate. Do yourself a favor and get this rather than a knock-off. You'll never have to worry. Only con was Amazon's free shipping - took over a week after purchase before it even shipped. It was the only problem I've had in many years using Amazon, so hopefully it was just a one-time event. And it's hard to argue with FREE shipping!
Product Review: An ideal personal BP monitor Summary: 5 Stars
Panasonic has made a very nice, compact, easy to use, affordable, high quality personal blood pressure monitor.
It's ideal for personal use. The cuff clamps on your arm snugly but not too tight. It would be easy for most people to put the cuff on without help. It's compact enough that you could take it with you on business trips or vacations.
The memory doesn't keep track of different user's readings. Not a big deal if it's dedicated to a single user. It might actually cost the same to buy two of these as it would to buy a model with two person storage.
You can decide whether or not to store a reading. So if you want to take a practice reading first, you can skip it and store the next one.
The actual measurement process is very comfortable. It doesn't feel like your arm is in a vice. This makes it easier to relax during the measurement. The reading is taken while the device is inflating so it's also much quicker than other ones I've used.
It comes with a carrying pouch with enough room for the monitor and cuff. It runs on four standard AA batteries. Alkalines are included but I chose to use rechargeables (Sanyo Eneloop). An AC adapter and larger cuff are options, not included. The manual has helpful hints on how and when to take measurements. One of the better manuals I've seen for a BP monitor.
It looks and feels like a quality product, one you might see in a doctor's office. They all seem to have an old school Baum with a mercury gauge mounted on the wall but more and more are using electronic units like this one.
I can't find anything I dislike about it. Very affordable too.
