Results for me have been terrific---I have inlays, fillings, crowns. etc. This great "tool" in tandem with brushing and flossing over the past 3 or 4 months cleared all debris for the first time. I have always been told to try harder---I did with this irrigator added to my usual regimen of just brushing and flossing. My dentist gave me a thumbs up for the first time in a long while. No new cavities this past dental visit. I bought one for my daughter and ordered another for myself. If Panasonic ever discontinues this I will have a spare.
Description of Panasonic EW176 Portable Oral Irrigator
You don't have to wait for your next visit to the dentist anymore to enjoy an oral water cleaning. With this portable oral irrigator, you can show off clean teeth and happy gums every day. The irrigator has two speeds, the highest of which shoots 1,600 water pulses per minute onto your teeth and gums--cleaning away food particles and massaging and strengthening gums. To fill the irrigator, simply open the plug in the water tank and fill with warm water--the hole is almost an inch across for easy faucet filling. Ideal for travel, the irrigator's nozzle tucks conveniently into a built-in storage slot, and the water tank is collapsible--making the irrigator compact and portable. Unfortunately, the water tank is on the small side; it holds just under 6 ounces of water.Using the irrigator is a bit of a trick: you have to lean over the sink to let the water drain out of your mouth, but you also have to keep the irrigator upright to keep the water pulsing appropriately. It can take a couple of tries to get it right, but those accustomed to oral irrigators should have no problems. Operates on two AA batteries (not included). --Ariel Meadow Stallings
