Product Review: Good unit but no substitute for home unit

I purchased this product for an extended vacation this winter and it seems it will be a nice unit for traveling. It stores fairly compact and uses 2 common AA batteries. These irrigators are critical to my dental care program and regular use has helped me immensely over the years. However, compared to my standard Water-Pik home unit the pressure of the pulses is much gentler. I think it will still benefit me during a 5 month long tour in Europe and SE Asia but to those of you buying it for home use I would recommend getting one of the larger, 120v units.Product Review: PANASONC PORTABLE WATER PIK

I bought this for my son after he got his braces. He loves it.
It's easy to use, compact enough to fit in the small cabinet in his bathroom and fits in a Zip-Loc bag for traveling.
I have had 3 of the portable Water-Pik brand versions but all lost battery power in only a few months even though they were supposed to be rechargeable (which seemed more 'green' to me). However, this one has as much power and has held it's charge for 2 months now with no trouble.
While I liked the interchangeable picks on the Water-Pic brand this one seems to be a much better value if you are looking for a small, portable version.

I travel every week for business and needed something small and inexpensive for the corporate apartment. This is perfect for what I needed. It isn't quite as powerful as the waterpik I have at home, but it's perfectly fine. It's easy to use; easy to fill, clean and store. It fits in a medicine cabinet. If I needed to travel back and forth with it, it would fit in my backpack or computer bag. I'd definitely recommend this to my friends.Product Review: Terrific Product

I'm delighted with this product. To be sure, it doesn't perform at the level of, say, the Hyrdo Floss stationary model. That's just not realistic for a battery-operated portable. It does, however, perform quite well, certainly well enough to be valued for travel use. I recommend this highly.
