Product Review: Approved by my dentist, and improved my checkup

When the dendist said I had a few deep pockets and he wanted around $400 to treat it, I bought a Sonicare 7500 and one of these. I have used it twice a day for a few months the batteries are just now showing a reduced power (maybe time to change them - but it still shoots water over 10 yards).
My follow up pre-treatment visit indicated the deep pockets had reduced in size by half. Long story short, I showed the dentist this unit and he was impressed. I am too.
Yes, it isn't a WaterPic, and it doesn't have the big resivor of a WaterPic. If I wanted something like a WaterPic I would have gotten it.
I wanted something small enough to pack in my shave kit and effectively blast what I can't get with a toothpick. As mentioned by someone earlier, you can see the food particles falling into the sink when using it. I don't need to spend much time with this after a 2.5 minute brushing with the Sonicare. I have adjusted my usage to match pretty close a complete tank (hitting inside and outside between all teeth).
If you travel and you want something like a (short water supply) WaterPic - get this unit. As mentioned by others it doesn't hold enough water for a 20 minute irrigation - but as I said, I got over it and adjusted for it (I don't know if even a WaterPic holds 20 minutes of water. If I wanted to flush for 20 minutes, I'd connect a valve, hose and mini-nozzle into the 65# pressure home water supply.
One last comment: Use warm water for a better experience; cold water just doen't feel right.

I love the easy set up, and use of this.
Drop in 2 batteries, and fill the tank, connect the nozzle and your good to go.
I read some other reviews that indicated low water pressure, but this seems more than adequate to me. Very strong. So much so, that if you hold the stream too close to your gums or tongue, it hurts.
The only down side is that there is a LOT of splatter from the strong spray. This could probably be minimized by a better technique, but water does go flying on the mirror, etc.
In fact the splatter is so much on my mirror, that I'm considering using this in the shower.
This is simply a well designed and reasonably priced product. Highly recommended.

I've been using an oral irrigator that attaches to a shower arm, so I am used to a very slim handle attached to a flexible hose. I find this Panasonic unit awkward to hold and am having trouble reaching my back teeth. Also, I find I have to refill it at least 3 or 4 times. I have a Waterpik WP100 at home and since I got braces I can't live without it; however, carrying it is not so easy. I decided to try this oral irrigator after checking some reviews and I gave it a 5 after using it for 2 weeks. It works about 30 times with alkaline batteries, it does a great job (normally with one fill) and it's very handy and portable.Product Review: Bad

For my purpose - to take it on trips, it is great and it holds enough water for 2 quadrants. What I wished it had is a switch to alter the strength of the water flow. It is pretty strong.
Otherwise - I had returned a waterpik - it works quite well.
And that was only for the first few tries. Now I am actually on a 4 months trip and cannot use it as it does not turn on. I am disappointed and will have to return it.
