Product Review: GREAT shaver

I have struggled w/ Braun shavers for some years and been frustrated with their poor engineering which makes you buy new foil heads - rather expensive - every time they fail to seat on the razor properly, so you end up shaving w/ both hands(one to hold the head on)This razor is great & the foil head FITS! It also gets the unruly neck hairs that the Braun always missed - I'll never go back and I'm so pleased and grateful to get a razor that works!Product Review: Good Shave

I was a bit apprehensive purchasing this product after reading several reviews where the shaver cut just a little bit too deep. I haven't had this problem. The shaver has performed well. It gives a good shave and having a wet option is truly unique. I usually shave "wet" about once a week. I don't see much of a diference in the shave but the shaving cream does provide good lubrication.
The shaver does need to be charged more frequently than my old Braun shaver. I get about a weeks worth of shaving from one charge. It also takes a bit longer to get a totally clean shave but it shaves closer than the Braun.
The trimmer is the only real disappontment with this shaver. My Braun trimmer was much more efficient.

My last Razor was a similar Panasonic I bought about 5 years ago. It finally died (from me dropping it too often) and had some chipped teeth on the trimmer (not good!), so I was up for a new one and went with Panasonic again. This one looks similar in shape but a different colour. The trimmer is better on this one, but not as wide so doesn't cover as much area. The shave I get from this is not quite as good as with my last one. It seems as though it just takes longer to get a complete shave. In the end it is a smooth shave after all, so that's the most important thing. I also don't shave everyday so it might be too much for this shaver. Anyway, a perfectly acceptable razor for the $50.xx price range. I was not willing to fork over more for a razor that may have been a bit better. Solid 3 stars.Product Review: Good but...

I've used Panasonic razors over the years, and in the early days, they would fail in less than a year. I love the wet/dry design and shave in the shower. Panasonic's customer support is excellent, and they have always replaced the failed unit. Once they changed over to induction charging, the units started to last longer and I had one that lasted over three years. This model has a plug-in charger, which I suspect is what was responsible for it failing after only three months. After a full charge, the unit would rapidly and completely discharge after just one and a half shaves. Once again though, Panasonic sent me a new unit of the next model up within a week of receiving the failed one. See my review of the ES8103. For the cost, I found this shaver to be as good as the $140 Panasonic model I bought a couple of years ago. I don't like shaving, but Panasonic so far is the best brand I've found for my beard. I haven't found the "miracle" shaver, and it might not exist.
