Product Reviews of Panasonic ES2113PC Pivoting Head Facial Trimmer, PinkProduct Review: For me, a good addition to the arsenal that fights facial hair Summary: 5 Stars
I like the simplicity and painlessness of this item for help in controlling the facial hair issues that cropped up in middle age. I use three tools, since waxing is too irritating for me, and I didn't feel like paying for electrolysis/laser zapping: 1. an epilator that pulls out the larger hairs along the chin line 2. this facial groomer for shaving off the hairs along cheek and neckline and above lip and 3. tweezers for eyebrows/between brows and hairline area stragglers.
This is a very quick shaver that is minimally irritating (I have super-duper sensitive, eczema/dermatitis prone facial skin, so I wouldn't use this if it weren't gentle.) It's like this teeny tiny shaver, light and battery powered. A nice tool.
I like having a very smooth hairless face, so I remove hairs that others wouldn't care about (ie, peach fuzz). Makeup looks so much better when I use this facial groomer--smoother, almost airbrushed.
If you hate having excess hair anywhere on your face or neck, and you don't want the iritation of regular shavers or hot wax, you might wanna try this. I like it so much, I bought two to have a back-up on hand.
I've been using the first one I purchased for more than a year already, and it's still going strong. So, good quality, too (though it looks simple and cheap, it's been working fine, as a Panasonic should.)

Product Review: Gentle and efficient removal of facial hair Summary: 5 Stars
Facial hair is aging and this little jewel gets rid of it quickly and gently (no irritation at all!). It's quiet, small, easy to store and it gets embarrassing hair off your face in a flash. Returning hairs come back as before - not darker and thicker (a myth), although they are a little stickier and stubblier. Make up goes on so much smoother now! Should it ever break, I'd definitely re-order this again. Great price for a great item. I use once or twice a week and results last several days.
Product Review: Gets the job done Summary: 4 Stars
wish it would move more smoothly across your face, but all in all it gets the job done. ...skin is not irritated afterwards and it shaves all of the facial hair that you want removed. ...hard to work in the nose area though.
Product Review: Good idea with major flaw Summary: 2 Stars
This pencil-sized facial hair groomer - for those tiny hairs you wish you didn't have - is intended to be an improvement, and hence more expensive, than its predecessors. This one features a "swiveling" head. Yes, the head swivels - but then falls off even with the most delicate motion. You could say that it's a kind of exercise machine, because the user is always bending over and picking it up, reinserting the head on its stick, and starting the whole process over again. So I vote NO on this one, and returned it, opting for the stationery, cheaper, and more reliable kind.
Product Review: Good little unit for what it's intended to do. Summary: 4 Stars
- I absolutely hate tweezing, and no one is going near my face (or any one sensitive body part) with hot wax. I figured if this gadget worked, it would save me a lot of time and swearing. I was right about the time, and the swearing was targeted solely at the outer packaging.
Pros:
- Easy to use.
- Comfortable in the hand, yet mall enough to fit in a purse or cosmetic bag.
- Completely painless. And it is unlikely you're going to cut yourself if you use a little common sense.
- Does exactly what it is supposed to do pretty darn well -- that is, it trims eyebrows and removes fine facial hair. It is NOT intended as a nose hair trimmer or bikini shaver and explicitly says so in the instructions. (OK, the instructions are awful for the most part, but that part was very clear.)
- Battery life really isn't that bad.
Cons:
- The packaging. I realize that shouldn't have anything to do with the actual product, but when it takes 15 minutes, a box cutter and heavy cussing to get into a package, it affects product perception. If Panasonic has put half the structural integrity into the product as the stupid molded package, I should be using this thing come doomsday. Also, the "soft case" for the attachments is a joke. Count on finding something else to keep those in.
- The instructions are, indeed, lacking. There are plenty of pictures, but they aren't very helpful. It still wasn't very clear how the blade head is changed (Hint: The blade is NOT the WHOLE head piece, but two parts lengthwise that snap together.)
- It feels cheap. And it probably won't survive a drop to a tile or concrete floor without the case cracking.
Conclusion: Given the flimsy materials used for the body and attachments, I wouldn't pay $20 for it, but I got it for $12 and, after using it a bit, I think $10-12 is a fair price for it. If you don't push it past what it is designed to do, it works fine and is much faster, easier and safer (and less painful) than other facial hair removal methods.
