Mine died: when I took the battery cap off, the battery had leaked and I couldn't easily get the battery out. When I went to Amazon to reorder, Amazon helpfully called my attention to the fact that I had ordered this in March 2005, almost three years ago to the day. Three years of life ain't bad (ain't great, either, but it may have the battery's fault).
During its life it worked well and effectively and was easy to use.

I was looking forward to an update to an old nose hair trimmer when I ordered this. I was greatly disappointed by the cutting ability - or lack thereof - of this product. I thought I must have put some bum batteries in, but even after replacing the batteries the speed was not good enough to avoid tugging on hairs. Not a good buy.Product Review: Worked OK but the motor is gradually dying after about 30 uses.

Was fine at first (light's sort of silly though), but the motor is winding down and so it turns slowly and is more of a hair puller than a hair cutter now. Probably just this unit, but I guess you get what you pay for and the price was cheap. Looks like decent quality for the price. Product Review: Trimmin it Up

I have had about 3 or 4 nose/ear trimmers over time.
And the Panasonic is about the best for the money..
I have had 1 or 2 cheapie Norelco and other brands.
But this one works well and is quiet and easy to clean.
I totally recommend.
