I bought a Panasonic trimmer from Brookstones 3 years ago for $50.00, this trimmer works much better and it's less then half the price with shipping.Product Review: Worked well... then died

It worked well for about 15 months then died. New batteries didn't help. It just decided to quit working one day. I bought it because I bought it because I hoped the quality would be better then the cheap ones. But the cheap one I bought for 10 bucks 4 years ago still works.Product Review: Does what it says...

I use on a regular basis. It does what it says, I didn't give 5 stars because of the following opportunities:
1) I don't expect it to last very long. The plastic feels flimsy and I think it will break if I drop it on my tile bathroom floor
2) it has a light on it that does not shine anywhere close to where it trims. I can't imagine what the designers were thinking
It was a much better value than my old sharper image one, I just hope it lasts.
