This is a great, basic beard and moustache trimmer. I had one before that lasted for years before the battery went. Then I got a Norelco which was nice but the head broke after about a year and is too costly to replace. This appears to be the same as the one I had for years. I have been using this trimmer for about 20 years. The battery died so I needed to get a new one. Couldn't find it anywhere but at Amazon.com! Of Course! There are other brands and forms and formats - all trying to attract buyers with lots of chrome and curves. But when it comes to trimming my beard, the Panasonic is fantastic. I like to keep my beard short and this works perfectly.Product Review: pretty average

first off, the range of trimming lengths are 1/8-45/64th of an inch.
i guess i should have read the tech specs since i typically like to trim as close as 0.06 inches. so that was quite unsatisfactory
secondly, the built in plug is a bit of annoyance since our plug point is mounted at a location where the plug cant slide in fully due to built in obstructions above and below the plug point.
thirdly, i have had the motor stall a bunch of times within a month of usage. i dont know why - i am guessing it has to do with it running low on charge quite rapidly. if so, the 45 min operating time per charge is an overestimate by a factor of ~4.

The Panasonic beard and mustache trimmer was for my husband, but since I cut his hair I get to use it on the back of his neck. The product performs just as I had expected due to the fact that I had purchased one exactly like it before and it was lost.
