Product Review: Not like the old Panasonic ER200B

My old Panasonic trimmer was showing it's age, so I thought I'd try a new one--a tremendous disappointment! This ER389K was completely unacceptable,and I returned it. The cutters are too fine, and the thicker beard hairs (most of them are,of course much thicker than the hair on your head!) pass over the cutting teeth unscathed. The height adjustment is difficult to set, and there isn't a positive enough lock. Finally, it is a rechargeable only cutter, without a cord option like my old one.
I decided that my 20 year old Panasonic ER200B still works well enough, and I congratulate Panasonic for that design. Why not remake it?

I had this product over 3 years ago. The batter eventually didn't hold a charge so I bought a fancy one from Fry's Electronics. It sucked. The fanciest with all the attachments and stuff...you don't need it. Keep it simple and this is the best one.Product Review: OUTSTANDING

Just got delivered today. Its a excellent product. Extremely sharp and easy to use. Does a excellent job. I also like the built in for charging it up. The way it works is as follows. On the bottom there is a button push it all the way forward and the plug in pops out. Just plug it up to the wall. I had my sister cut my hair today she also said it did a excellent job on the back of my neck and on my side burns. I would highly recomend this product to anyone looking for this type of purchase. This is my 2nd Panasonic ER389K Beard Trimmer in 12 years. My old one has worked so reliably that I was surprised when it refused to run one morning last month. Turns out the battery finally shorted out. Still using the original blade. Because I got such a good deal on the new one, I decided to buy new instead of replacing the battery, altough the trimmer would have operated just fine with a new battery.
After I used the new one, realized that I should have replaced the blade on the old one.
I've got a full beard and keep it trimmed close to my face (#3 setting on the trimmer length adjustment) so has gotten plenty of workout.
