Product Reviews of Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers, Size 1, 180 Count

Product Review: Not Very Sensitive
Summary: 3 Stars

Overall, this diaper works just OK. The price and service from Amazon were great, as usual though! The back of these could be more stretchy. We've had blow outs, but I think that was due to user error. If the sides are tucked in even a tiny bit by accident, while wrestling an active 3 month old, this diaper isn't containing much for very long. Luckily we're used to changing diapers as soon as they are wet or poo'd. We ordered the "Sensitive" specifically because our daughter is usually cloth diapered (disposables for babysitter during the day), and not accustomed to artificial fragrances - especially not in her diapers. I could smell the fake, typical Pampers "perfume" before I opened the outer box. And the diapers were sealed inside plastic inside the box! The scent is VERY strong. Didn't cause a skin reaction, but I didn't want our baby smelling like a diaper company thinks she should smell! We're using them, because I don't want to waste the money, but we'll be going back to the brand of disposables we used before when we run out. If only companies thought through what they were doing. Strong, artificial fragrance in a "sensitive" diaper?! If your child is at all sensitive to heavy fragrances, look for something else.

Product Review: Not as happy the second time around...
Summary: 3 Stars

We used Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive brand diapers with our first child, he's now 2, and LOVED them!!! I assumed with our second child we would feel the same; however, that has not been the case. Almost daily we have one blow out, if not more. Also, our second child is not any chubbier than our first, and our second child is having issues with the leg holes with these diapers. I don't know if Pampers made changes since we used them last, but we're going to try Huggies Pure and Natural and see if we can't get some improvements.

I would like to say that so far my son has not had any rashes or any other concerns of this nature, and we are happy with this brand from this perspective.

I guess even the diaper needs of every child is different. Who knew???

Product Review: Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers versus regular Swaddlers
Summary: 4 Stars

I called P&G's 800 number (800-PAMPERS)about 10 minutes ago to figure out what the difference is between the sensitive swaddlers versus the regular swaddlers because, with both of them in front of me, I could not tell.

The representative needed to pull it up on her computer, but then read each product description - she couldn't figure out what the difference was because they BOTH had the wetness indicator stripe, the mesh liner, and lotion liner.

I asked why the sensitives cost more and was told they do not set the price - there is no manufacturer's suggested retail price (which doesn't make sense to me) so if there is a difference in price I need to take it up with the store manager.

Then I asked why then does P&G market one as "sensitive"? The representative then said she believes the sensitive has "more aloe" in the sensitive swaddlers than the regular one.

In short, I think it's brilliant marketing by P&G rather than any significant difference in products. P&G markets to mothers who want (and can afford) the "best" product for their babies. Buy the regular swaddlers.....

Product Review: Pampers are the best

I ordered through Amazon Mom's subscribe and save. The ordering process was so smooth and the shipment was real fast. Amazon is Amazing.

Product Review: Prevents diaper rash
Summary: 5 Stars

I originally started using the diapers that the hospital, in which my daughter was born, used. These were the regular Pampers Swaddlers. When I wanted to order the size 1s in bulk via Amazon, I could only find the sensitive Pampers Swaddlers. So, I decided to try them. As one reviewer pointed out, the sensitive ones have a stripe that changes color when the diaper becomes wet, which does help determine if my baby has peed when she has peed only a little bit. I can always tell when my daughter has a poop or a big pee because the diaper is very heavy (plus the poop is just obvious). But, the change in stripe color has helped me learn that my baby is very sensitive to even a slightly wet diaper. More importantly to me, the sensitive diapers help prevent diaper rash. With the regular Pampers Swaddlers, my daughter often required Desitin for diaper rash. However, since I started to use the Sensitive ones, my daughter rarely has a diaper rash. At this time, I will continue to use only the Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive diapers.
