Product Reviews of Pampers Swaddlers New Baby - Sesame StreetProduct Review: BEST DIAPER! My 16 month old still uses these! LOVE THEM! Summary: 5 Stars
These are hands down the BEST diaper out there! We rarely had a blow out and if we did we just bought the next size up and problem solved. These are sooo soft on my baby's skin and don't give that urine smell when the diaper is full-- unless of course your child has been sitting in pee for hours! My 16 month old daughter is a runt (only 18 pounds) so we still use these for her and even for big girl poops & pee they work great! NOT so excited about the Dry max addition though. WHY did pampers have to change their swaddlers & cruisers?! UGH! Don't get the dry max- you might as well save your money and get pampers baby dry or I hate to say it, but the luvs. Yea, they are THAT BAD!
Product Review: Best Diapers ever! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a professional nanny and have worked in daycare centers as well, so I've been exposed to LOTS of brands of diapers! I liked the Pampers Baby Dry that my previous employers used, but now I am nanny to newborn triplets. The hospital was using the swaddlers and they just seemed so soft and fit so well. Now we have the babies home and have been going through various brands that were gifts from people - but Mom and I prefer the swaddlers HANDS DOWN over any other brand! They are soft, don't leak, fit comfortably, and the mesh liner keeps wetness away from sensitive skin. They are pricey, but worth every penny!!! LOVE UM!
Product Review: Best Diapers for Newbies Out There! Summary: 5 Stars
Pampers Swaddlers are the best diapers we've used (and we've sampled Huggies, Luvs, 7th Generation, and the Costco brand ones). The hospital started us off with these, which I think is a good endorsement as well, if they think they're the best. I love that you can buy them in whole sizes (like 1, 2 or 3), but also in a series of sizes, for that time when baby is about to move into the next size (mine is currently using size 2-3). I've never had any diapers go unused this way since I can buy the in-between sized package when we're nearing the end of the fit. Very soft diapers and my girl has never had a diaper rash of any kind after 5 months of these and Huggies Sensitive wipes. Great diapers. Highly recommended. I think they're worth the few extra bucks when I have less loss of clothes that get soiled more with other brands I've tried.
Product Review: Best diapers Summary: 5 Stars
We have tried a few different diaper brands (including Huggies) and these are the best, leak-proof fit for our baby. I particularly like the size 2-3 because our baby seems to be slowing down in growth at about 16-17 pounds, and this size fits him well without having to worry about being on the verge of outgrowing a large supply of diapers or wearing the next size up that is a little too big.
Product Review: Comfort, absorbency, high-tech baby diaper Summary: 5 Stars
Pampers Swaddlers are not your 1980's disposable diaper. They are soft and breathable as cotton, yet more waterproof and absorbent. The softness and breathability simply surpass any other diaper we tried.
Upsides:
1. Softness -- you should touch this diaper. Compared to Swaddlers any other diaper feels like cardboard
2. Breathability -- baby's skin gets enough air and does not feel clammy as with other diapers we tried
3. Absorbency -- even the smaller sizes were absorbent enough to cover a 6-7 hour stretch of sleep
Downsides:
1. Environmental effect -- absorbent gel in the diaper takes a long time to decompose.
2. Back barrier -- Swaddlers don't have a physical leak barrier around the waist (they rely on absorbency) -- this means that if the diaper is not well positioned and the baby needs to have a massive poop there is potential that the solid waste will creep up the back and out of the diaper. Diaper needs to be high on baby's waist to prevent this from happening. Stretchy closure tabs also provide some protection without compressing the baby's belly.
3. Cost -- Swaddlers cost about $5 more per 200 diapers than other recognizable brands. For us this added up to about $100 per year, which we thought was the appropriate cost for the extra softness and comfort.
Pampers Swaddlers would be the perfect diaper if it had a waist barrier, but overall I believe this is the best disposable diaper on the market at this time.
