Product Reviews of Pampers Swaddlers Diapers, Newborn (Up to 10 lbs), Sesame Street, Jumbo, 40 diapers

Product Review: The best N diaper, period. Don't waste your time with Huggies.
Summary: 5 Stars

Our hospital used these, and we compared at home. Huggies were terrible! They proved to be poorly fitted (essentially straight, with little leg contouring) and leaky as can be. A disaster. We simply threw the rest of them out they were so worthless. By contrast, the pampers fit well, can be easily folded out of the way of the umbilical stump, and have never leaked. They are also quite compact--an added bonus. Our newborn is of average size and weight.

Product Review: Works for me
Summary: 4 Stars

I have to say, even though Alex is my first child and Pampers being the only diaper I have really tried...other than the free samples of Huggies...the NB size has worked for us. Alex was 6lbs 7.5oz at birth and one month later 7lbs 12oz and still in the NB size...debating on moving up a size. The only problem we had with leaking is remembering to put "the pee-pee down" (I have to say it to remind myself at changings!haha) When he "pointed north" we had leakage which was our fault. Other than that, it is amazing at how much a NB diaper can hold!

Product Review: Wow, I couldn't disagree more
Summary: 5 Stars

I am really surprised by some of the other reviewers' take. I guess every baby is different. For us, Huggies Newborns were terrible. They are high-waisted and we couldn't get them away from the umbilical stump. As if that weren't bad enough, twice we ended up with poop everywhere. After that, we switched to the Swaddlers which is what the hospital had been using. We have never had a single leak with the Swaddlers. They are soft, obviously better quality, stretchy, super absorbent, and stay away from the stump well.

Update - we are still using Swaddlers at 4 months and still adore them. And we have still never had a leak.

Product Review: A better choice for your newborn
Summary: 4 Stars

After four children, I feel I've had some experience with disposable diapers. For newborns, Pampers wins hands down for one main reason: the cut-out that fits around the umbilical cord. The Huggies newborn diapers simply fold down away from the cord, and with active wrigglers the fold pops back up and causes irritation to this tender area. The cut-away on the Pampers newborn diapers keep the diaper material away from the cord area, so your baby has a better chance of healing more quickly. That being said, after the newborn size I've always switched over to Huggies. My kids (and I) have preferred Huggies for their fit around the legs and waist, their softness, and their absorbency.

Product Review: There is no other diaper!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I started out using the preemie diapers and then graduated to the newborns and size 1. I tried Huggies and all they do is leak! We were at a wedding & my baby had a huge blow out with the huggies. What a mess! Everytime she went to the bathroom I had to change her clothes due to the leaking! The Pampers have never leaked and they fit just right around her legs. They have an extra barrier to prevent the leaks and they work the best!! I will never go back to Huggies! Pampers all the way!
