Product Reviews of Pampers CruisersProduct Review: Excellent diapers!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I tried so many different diapers and these are by far the best! They stretch in the leg and hip area, perfect for my very active daughter. They also keep her very dry, wicking away moisture from her delicate bottom. I would recommend this product for anyone with very active infants/toddlers.
Product Review: From Best to Worst! Summary: 1 Stars
I used to love this diaper that never leaked and now it leaks on a regular basis. I've had leaks that soak my daughters' pants yet leave the diaper dry and flat. The nice mesh liner is gone and there is nothing in the back of the diaper but a thin liner that you can almost see through if you hold it up to the light. Anyone have any suggestions on what diaper to use now? I'm pissed and I want my money back! Proctor and Gamble why would you risk your flagship brand with this crap! Now it's going to take your company years to gain back its market share.
Product Review: From best to worst - why oh why did Pampers change their Cruisers? Summary: 1 Stars
Having used first Swaddlers and then Cruisers since my daughter's birth in 2008, I am horrified by the recent (early 2010) "improvement" to the design. I've only had one box of the "new" design and am disgusted - we had a day time leak, because the diaper bunched and leaked even though it wasn't even close to being saturated and we've had 2 night-time leaks. Neither of these situations ever occurred with the old style. In a comparison of the new versus the old (I still had a couple in the diaper bag) the new ones seem to have substantially less absorbent material and are bulkier around the leg area, with less shaping to provide the flexibility and comfort that was much appreciated in the past. Am now going to have to seriously consider trying another brand :-(
Pampers - who did you quality control & test this new design with? These are beyond shockingly bad!
A very disappointed & until now loyal Pampers customer.
Product Review: GOT THINNER in last 3 years - now LEAKS at night Summary: 1 Stars
I've been buying Cruisers (and swaddlers for infants) for my older son since Jan 2005 and I have been quite happy with Cruisers for first 2 and 1/2 years despite of their higher price. Now I'm with my second son. And I've noticed the Cruisers couldn't hold up the wetness in a diaper at night (for 9-10 hours period), and my younger son's PJs are quite wet most of mornings (8 out of 10 mornings). I don't recall even once that my older son had any wet diapers that leaked and his PJs got soaked when he was this age (1 year old). And then I happened to across to one Cruiser diaper that I saved as a momento with other stuff from his first year memory box, and I was shocked to see the difference in the thickness of two Cruisers diapers in same size 4. One made in Dec 2005 vs in Dec 2007. One from 2005 is fluffy and quite thick. In comparison, the newer one is thin and not much fillings between outer layers. No wonder the diapers leaked almost every night. I will try to take a comparison photo of them side by side and post it here when I have time. But this is clear that Pampers are trying to make more profit by making thinner diapers as opposed to keep the good quality that was appreciated in the beginning and made this brand stand out from others before. I would have given 5 stars in 2005. As being an engineer myself, I can't recommend the product that is no longer working well.
Product Review: GREAT FOR DAY USE...NIGHTTIME IS ANOTHER STORY Summary: 3 Stars
As a mom of three, I have always liked Pampers for when my children were infants and as they got older I adjusted brands based on fit and the body types of my children. I read all the reviews of the cruisers and I so wanted to love this diaper. There are things I do love: The softness of the diaper is nice. I like the thinness of the diaper and the fact that there is little to no bulk in the fit. Overall I have found the diaper to meet my expectations except for at night. Nighttime use has been leak after, leak, after leak. No matter how many times I change my son.
My son is a wee-wee pusher if that makes any sense. He pushes so hard at night that the wee wee comes out the sides of the diaper. I am not sure if its the fault of the Pampers but I even tried to double diaper with a size 2-3 baby dry and a size 3 cruiser over that and the wee wee literally rolled down the mattress. This was after changing my son two hours prior. I recently tried Huggies Nighttime and so far no leaks at night. I like the look and feel of the Pampers better but I can't ignore a dry baby and sheets.
Three children and just as many diaper brands tried. One diaper is not for all. Pampers are great but may not work in your situation-especially if you have a wee wee pusher like me!
