First of all, let me say that the experience of making a purchase on Amazon.com was both pleasant and easy. I had come to the conclusion that I was tired and frustrated over the time spent waiting on a haircut at barber shops and also the rising pricesOster Professional 76023-510 Fast Feed Clipper with Adjustable Blade. I know a couple of friends who cut their own hair, so I started to research which would be the best clippers for a beginner to buy. After deciding to go with the Oster Professional 76023-510 Fast Feed Clipper with Adjustable Blade, I found that by far, Amazon.com offered the best price for them and still with full manfacturer's warranty. My first haircut with them (performed by my wife), rivals any cut I had ever gotten from a barber shop.....for FREE. I rate them as a very good buy.Product Review: No More Barber

This is the best clipper I could afford. I'm not a professional. I bought this over a Wahl, only because it was the brand of my dad's clipper that I remember from my teen years. Shaved my head twice with that one. At this point in my life, my goal is to buy some things only once; things that might last 'a lifetime'. I hope this is one of those. To an amateur, it's gonna feel heavy/ run cool and quiet/ shave very smoothly. A very solid clipper.Product Review: No different than other cheap brands

I used 2 different clippers through the years both of them were wahl. I have a short fading hair therefore I skin fade all the time. so I thought Oster will be faster and better to do fading but I didn't see any difference than other wahl clippers, even my old wahl may be a little better doing fading.
Pro
1- May be not sure this will last longer than cheaper wahl clippers, I only had it for a week and used it twice I still need to use trimmers to finish the work
2- it does not heat as much as wahl clippers
3- smaller size than wahl clippers
Cons
1- PRICE, PRICE, PRICE, come on, for the same job it does the same as cheaper clippers and it comes without any traveling bag
2- it does a bad job shaving your face, I used wahl clippers to shave my face as quick shave, but it seems oster is very bad with short hair clipping.
I gave it 4 start because it does all the jobs that cheaper clipper does for ME
Product Review: Noisy and doesn't trim cleanly

I must say I am disappointed with this trimmer. It is very noisy with a strange vibration. I have used Oster trimmers before and the vibration is definitely unusual. Plus, it does not trim the sideburns all that well, missing some hairs - so I have to go over it with a shaver.Product Review: Not a good find

I was not impressed with this item at all! It pulled my sons hair out, it didn't cut cleanly. Even with out the attachments it had to be shaved many times over for it to cut most of the hair. I often went over thier hair with scissors the next day. I wouldn't recomend these to anyone. I suggest going with a differant product. Though I have had good experiance with this brand in the past. It just seems to be this model.
