Product Review: Cosmetologist approves!

As a fifteen year vet of the industry, I suppose I have the chops to weigh this pretty decent.
Pros-
Heavy- duty clipper...with proper care, this thing will outlast that car in your driveway...no kidding.
Mows through the thickest, toughest hair effortlessly.
Clipper blades are interchangeable...meaning...if you invest in the metal blades in different sizes, your cuts will be much more polished, fades look immaculate. If you can't do the metal blades, then there are plastic options. Keep in mind they won't cut nearly as clean, but nice for beginners.
Cons-
Heavy duty is great if you have the hand size and the wrist power to use it ALL DAY. I am a woman with small hands and I can't get my fingers all the way around it...thus it can be cumbersome after a while.
The noise...imagine an electric hedge trimmer....seriously. I still get remarks about it at work!
For beginning stylists...beware...it can get away from you fast. Peel and half peel are what it does best...it takes MUCH practice to fine tune your results.
Overall it is a solid piece of professional equipment. A true standard prized by barbers and stylists alike. Enjoy!
Product Review: Difficult to change blades

I have owned Oster products before and thought this would be a good buy. Unfortunately, when I tried to change the blade, it was difficult, if not, impossible to do. The instruction manual obviously doesn't expect blade changes on the fly because there are no diagrams. I now have a product that is just sitting dismantled and have no way of getting it back together. I will be calling OsterPro and letting them know of my displeasure. For a product this expensive, the blades should change themselves. I am so disappointed.Product Review: Don't bother with cheap clippers - buy these

These clippers are the best. I've used them for nearly a year now, after using cheap ones previously, and these are worth every cent. I used the supplied 000 blades for a while, but eventually bought the 00000 blades. The 00000 blades are about like one day's stubble after shaving with a blade, which is what most people are looking for. I shave my head with these every 3 or 4 days, usually, and it works out great.
They are heavy and bulky, but that doesn't bother me once I used them a few times and got used to their heft. Others have said they get hot. Mine get warm, but I wouldn't say hot. Also someone mentioned cutting themselves with the 00000 blades. I was worried about this when I first got the 00000's, but the only time I've cut myself is when I ran the clippers directly into my ear. Don't do that.
In about 11 months, I've nearly saved the cost of these (minus the extra blades) over going to the barber. And I really expect these to last longer than I do. I did try a cheap pair first, to see if I could even shave my own head. Those didn't cut nearly as well as these, and didn't have replaceable blades, so they didn't cut as close.
Whether you're cutting other people's hair or shaving your own head, these clippers are the best.
Product Review: Don't look anywhere else

It's fantastic, what can I say? I have never had a trimmer this well built before. Cuts and cleans with no problems and is always ready for me, my brother, or my dad to use when needed. I bought the spray and some barbicide to keep all my tools clean and I've not had a single problem in 2 months. I'm pretty sure this trimmer will last at least 10 years. Also the blades change quick so even if one did rust or dull, for $20 you get a new one and it's like new until the motor goes on you. It's about twice the weight of a walmart brand trimmer, but as long as you're ok with that it's perfect (other than the high price).
Buy this and you won't regret it. Especially if you trim your hair weekly or more like I do.

If you're tired of cheap clippers from the drug store and were looking for what your barber would use, look no further.
I was amazed by how much faster my hair cut went, no more running over the same area over and over to make sure it looks even. The powerful motor cuts without a tortured squeal when it hits a patch of thick hair as well.
Couldn't be happier.
