I am very sad to say this does not work. I was in desperate hopes of finding something natural for my toddler without having to spray her down. I put one on her right wrist and one on her left ankle. I bought several of these last summer for my kids to use at camp. Eight hours a day, 5 days a week, for 8 weeks those kids were outdoors, in the woods, hiking, swimming, and doing crafts.
And I can count on one hand the number of bug bites they got the whole summer. And not one tick!
These bands are deet-free, and worth their weight in gold, as far as I'm concerned. I love Bug Bands!

I hate to spray myself down with fly spray when I go to the barn to ride, or work with my horse, so this is great, it works very well, especially in the buggy mountains. I wear tank tops and get bit a lot, and this kept them away in an afternoon trail ride in the wilderness. I am very sensitive to bites and this may be a life saver. Also good for my 2 year old son, who I hate to use chemicals on, but is also very sensitive to the bugs. Great for everyone!Product Review: On time delivery, but the wristband does not repell insert

Product arrived on time. But, I was disappointed when I put it on my ankle one evening to work on my lawn. It did not repel any mosquito. I saw a few mosquito landed on my foot trying to bite me. Better use "off" as it works.
